Did you know that you could make a donut out of a long, sloped hallway? It's pretty cool; just slap a teleporter entrance at the bottom and an exit at the top, and voila! A Mobius donut.
if you count the new 'rift' mechanic and the OP shotguns, there's no point in even playing the game unless you're squadded up - but even then, it's hard to tell if another player is your teammate or a rando unless you stay in visual range of each other, which leads to some pretty stupid sandwich situations
Dropped Fortnite for the third and final time. My patience with it has completely disappeared, which was what kept me playing when the sense of fun had disappeared. It's like a bag of chips sprinkled with nicotine; you really don't like eating the chips, but you just can't seem to help yourself, until you find out that you're eating it because of the nicotine. Only way to keep yourself from feeling like garbage is to quit altogether. **** Battle Royale.
You either play smart and land in a safe spot where you can consistently secure decent loot in order to combat the rng ascpect... At the risk of being bored to death for the first half of the game Or you land in the dense locations and roll the dice The best game mode they've ever had was the private lobbies. Me and my friend would each loot half the map and then run back to back 1v1 build fights for hours, the real meat and potatoes of fortnite
I played doubles yesterday for like 5 hours with a buddy, we’re in the same room, and that’s what kept happening - only way to mitigate was pick one guy and magdump him and then bait his teammate
Shotguns for a while WERE really strong but right now they're basically useless, to the point where it's worth dropping a gold heavy shotgun for a white SMG, not even exaggerating. If you think they're strong now you should've been playing a few months ago. Regardless I think the game is better off when semi auto weapons with some firing cadence are meta rather than spray guns (like right now). I feel you on the rifts but they're tied to this seasons story, they're essentially jump pads and allow players to loot the edges of the map better and still evade the storm, separates the map density a bit better. I get they can feel unpredictable but hey, that's what BRs are. As for telling who your teammate is.....idk man you might just be weird Ahahaha i really can't identify with that well. Keep playing, work on your building skill and avoid going into dense structures. Guarantee you'll like the game more. The gunplay is super super rng outside of snipers+ shotguns though
Two tales of double-sided dice Curtails of heavenly avarice One picks the Sun, and power over gloom One picks the Moon, the prodigal doom Lose the shadow and sear in light, shun the day and succumb to blight Bring with thine wrath of deeds sown and enter into your bargain, disheveled. A benevolent grasp of things grown indeed hath met the sky to earth, left leveled. Greet but do not dismiss, hate but never kiss
It actually does not have a story. I looked into this. It’s just the map changing and being ‘mysterious’. The story is a projection of the players. It is pure speculation. It’s hype in its purest and most illegitimate form. Only about 20% of the game is even a game. **** it.
