This whole time I've been refusing to go white & gold on Trestles. Everyone kept telling me to but I felt like it was too close to Shutima but I finally tried it. What do you know? The exact same day I test it with Demption & for the next 4 games his buddy runs his mouth about how EVERYONE is just copying Shurima. Give me a break pal, any white map with a curve is now a product of Demption? Nigga please.
Everybody is "copying" everybody in some fashion if you ask me. I don't see any harm in sharing color schemes or themes though. Next week there will probably be a bunch of Sanghelios maps lol

I don't lock ****. I am talking about after I generate lighting. Not in forge ball at all. I have experienced on other maps but it doesn't matter anyways because it is not there in custom game.
So how does one set up CTF spawn zones for a competitive map? The Halo 4 and MCC way of doing it can't be applied. Like, what's the deal with one spawn zone? No Antis or weak antis? Someone smart teach me.
I need help with lighting. My map look beautiful, untill I place lighting. I keep getting pinch black walls everywhere! I wish 343 would make a setting to turn off lighting for a map so that this place can stay like this. If anyone knows how to disable lighting, please help me out.
So, I'm at about 400 pieces and 90% lighting. What can I do to lower the percentage? I'm only 75% done with the map and this is just the blockout. Is there a write up discussing how the forge system dictates how that meter is accumulated? I don't get how just pieces are using it up and I just added two lights to light up darker areas... and they didn't use up any of it. Not to mention the fact that I'm not even halfway through my budget for pieces and it's already so high. Does not compute. Somebody drop some knowledge on me.
You can turn off baked lighting on all the objects in which you don't need to cast shadows. Confusing?... Any piece you have on the map that doesn't need to cast a shadow (bottom level flooring or natural terrain, outer walls on the opposite side of the sun, etc) can have the light bake turned off without affecting the appearance or looks of the map. This will decrease your lightmap. --- Double Post Merged, Feb 20, 2016 --- I've even seen some people like saltykoala have all the items baked light turned off but when I tried it the map looked horrible so I'm not sure the trick. But that guy has a huge 4v4 map that is dope & it had lightmap in the teens if I remember correctly.
Those of you who saw Shattered probably figured by now that I'm scrapping that version. But, I have been working on revising the design, and I may bring it to Halo.
