I was going to edit that post again but this is important.

Dunco, I'd like to thank you for turning me onto this idea, whether you wanted to or not - your comment that I would die alone all but confirms the statement that I made, semi-sarcastically, in response to Goat's post. Now, my response, that my 'spouting' would water the dry ground around me ties in with the video's own visual metaphor quite beautifully, and I did not see it until I went back to reread some other posts.

Dry ground, screeching from little prairie dogs that live underground in the context of a song about worshipping a woman for the sake of access to her moistest place.. the obvious interpretation is that this shot is making light of the 'trolls' and the 'mean men' who don't want to bow to a woman's wishes and desires for access to the 'waters of life', which, if they were to leave their caves and give her what she wants, would flow into their arid wasteland of a hermit kingdom and justify their worship of Woman. It is not a beaver screaming at all - it is all the men who have ever had the audacity to tell a woman "no", conflated with all those men who've ever lacked the decency to allow a woman to speak her mind or make her own decisions. It is such a mixed visual metaphor that it is easily misinterpreted or taken out of context (as I admittedly did with my new avatar, before grasping the significance within the song, video, and greater cultural landscape) for use in any way - but I think I will keep the reminder, as there is often water hidden deep in the desert, or even just under the surface; once this is tapped, there is no need for rain, no need for the kind of hurricane downpour that the Grande Woman-God hopes the little prairie dogs are waiting for to come from her twirling fingertips. If it were to come, anyway, the ground would be too dry to absorb it, and all the little critters would die. Fit that into the metaphor, and things get dark.

Even if one doesn't like the video, the music, the message, or anything about the artist - the power of the visual lies in the true statement that I will not get attention from women because I say **** like this, because I will not get attention from women who think like this, which both tracks and justifies the use of such an image in the first place.

It loses its power when I stop desiring the irrational and secondhanded (contingent on my worship of her as a means to an end) attention and approval of a woman.

It's nice to finally share. I felt like a stalker spending all this time lurking on your maps without saying anything. I pray that nobody ever examines my maps this closely.

Thanks. I think Analogue should still serve well for CTF but not being it's creator or having chosen the maps, I can happily sit back and see what people think!

Just waiting for players to say Checkmate is too confusing while I slowly get around to deciding if and when I'll finish the updated design that will improve the layout and orientation.

Overall though the map selection covers all our modes with a pretty diverse set of styles and will give everyone a clearer sense of what works and what doesn't for Evolved. The map pool will definitely change over time as more maps are designed for it, which as of now not many maps were.
