    Tried something a little different today. Designed a loading dock for Fortnite.

    Got a little carried away with free scaling and forgot to make it more grid-like. I also forgot to make all the walls super thin.

    I mean, my top downs are so wack and goofy looking, I usually make several iterations before showing them off. I was watching a video the other night, the guy was using Photoshop to paint his rough sketch. I thought it was brilliant way of conveying his top down.

    I really need to try to add more curvature into my levels. Using anything with curvature scares me, I don't know why, it's a hard thing to tackle IMO. I think the first correct use of naturally looking curved paths was on @Goat 's Spellbound. I fell in love with the way it felt natural and not forced. I think this comes with time, experience and experimentation.

    I've seen him rotate rocks and terrain, he takes all the time he needs to be precise and as natural as can be. Patience is a virtue I guess. But you're right, that map had some awesome terrain.

    Does anyone have a Discord server that you're apart of that is meant for feedback and discussion on level editors such as Hammer, Unity, and UE4? I think this is the perfect time for us to expand our skills outside forge until the next iteration comes out. At least that is what I have been doing.

    To be honest, unless you're looking to make a map for a certain game that was built in unreal, or you plan on downloading/making assets and then making a final product, it's a little underwhelming. If you're just trying to design more, it's probably better just to stick with forge. It's a faster block-out tool and you can instantly play the map.

    I will say that the terrain is better in some ways inside unreal, so there's that.
