Assuming we're getting Halo 6 next fall (2019), that's going to be the longest gap between Halo releases ever (roughly 4 years). Every other gap was either 2 or 3 years. And they left us the longest wait with one of the worst Halo games.
Completely unrelated: I'd rather have another whole year of chemotherapy than risk the cancer coming back
Oh yeah I understand that the wait will probably be for the better in the end, but it's still shitty because this game is already rather dead, even the forge community for it, whereas I remember during Halo 3 and Reach, forgers were still going strong right up until the releases of Reach and Halo 4, respectively. Usually the only reason people stopped forging for a period at that time was they were holding off their design ideas until the new game came out. With the wait for Halo 6, we're all here kinda just waiting around not doing anything.
Watched a stream of one of my maps being tested and someone made a joke about Cesspool maps taking place on a planet made completely of of sewer. So I've got something to do now till 6 comes out. Everyone feel free to thank dog **** executioner for the great idea.
I forged for about an hour today, got a bunch of ideas, realized I couldn't pull them off in forge, and then went back to unreal. I would even rather draw what I see in my head than forge because at this point, design is like a brain exercise where I need to get my idea flushed out before the next idea is allowed through the cerebral door. Even writing lists of things I want in a map/idea helps this along. Forge just takes too long and has too many bugs. It's honestly becoming annoying at this point because If I get inspiration for something and I don't record it somehow, I feel shitty until I do.
Compared to forge in the rest of the games it's kind of understandable because there is so much more to do to get a map truly finished, so starting does seem more daunting because of the amount of work that goes into it, but when you literally have to work against the engine instead of with it to get something finished, and you know like 10 people total will maybe play your map when it's done, it really doesn't feel worth it. The geometry of my ski resort map is basically done, but there's still soooo much I need to do, mainly working to get the lighting not to be complete dogshit, that I haven't felt the motivation to work on it for weeks.
Mostly been busy with work for a long while now. Recently had some free time and the urge to forge for some reason and decided to log in and see what was up, apparently not much by the way the WAYWO has been for the last few pages.
Lmao! I was outside when I saw that, sun glaring on my phone so it look d like little chickens. My bad.
Well my phone went retarded and triple posted. I would delete the posts but that would be way too much power for one little member like me. Edit: thanks to whoever fixed it.
