    For y'alls argument over word usage I think it's a bit simpler than its being made to be. I prefer to think of it like this:

    Know your audience.

    If I'm playing Dark Souls with a few chill friends that I know don't get offended I'll call Multi or Westin a ***.

    If I'm at work I probably won't do that. Works pretty lax though so I can get away with calling someone a **** or something.

    If I'm with some friends that I know are Bi or gay often enough they just say "that's gay" or "you're a ***" anyway. But that doesn't mean I should do it.

    I don't like to draw a hard line when it comes to this stuff. Like never say this or always say this blah blah
