I'm sure this has probably been discussed already, but I'd like to get a more in-depth idea of how the pieces work and what I can use in place of blocks when I run into the object limit.

How are the Platform Cylinders for framerate?
    Platform XLs?
    Wall coliseums?
    Block 10x10s?
    Teleporter Frames as floors?
    Struts?
    Platform 4x4 corners?
    Platform 2x2 corners?
Bridge pieces? (small, medium, large, xl)
Rock pieces as floors/walls? (rock 1 sizes and rock 2 sizes; i know the tan ones like the seastack are bad)
    Large Walkway Cover?
Terrain pieces? (just the small flat)
    Ramp 2x2s?
    Brace Larges?

Well I have an indoor map and I have found:

Colosium walls are bad. I had to replace with 10x10 block flat

And lights were bad. (Mostly the white lights were by far the worst)

    -Bridges seem good
-Blocks are good (and I used 200 in fairly small area)
    -Strut seems ok

Sorry but I only made one map... so I dont know all the bad pieces

The complexity of the model (usually number of planes) and the amount of pieces used are big determiners for framerate.

A block piece? It's only 6 planes (plus a few more for the rounded edges).
A bridge? A few more because of the (useless) pipes and railings, might cause lag is large quantities.
A wall colosseum is a horrendously lag-inducing overcomplicated model that should be used as little as possible.
Terrain pieces are somewhat detailed, but the pieces are quite large so they don't cause that many issues as they aren't used in as large quantities.
Trees can cause lag if you aren't careful because they have a lot of planes for the leaves and they have an animation.

Lights + anything with glass can cause a lot of framerate issues. Either on their own is fine though.

I never have problems with coli walls, but that is because I only use the for outer walls. The black side is actually pretty nice.

Look closely and you will see that they have a s****ton of polygons on them. I had a map where generating lighting took less than 2 seconds. I added about 60 wall coliseums (because reasons) and lighting took almost 10 seconds. They should be used very infrequently.

yeah, i know they have a ton, but my maps are always under 320 objects and it is mostly blocks combined with whatever dark peice i feel like using. grass plains are very useful as well. My point was that you can use them in a useful way and avoid frame drops.
