i wasn't able to make a sketchup of this little idea of mine (mostly because i'm not as technically savvy as others) but i was able to make a 2D sketch of the top and side views. idea #1 so basically it's 9 platforms in sets of 3 each set being higher up than the last one. from a top view it forms a triangle and from a side view it forms a tower. the bridges connecting these platforms in a weaving pattern and it is supposed to make for some very confusing gameplay. i might be able to add another 9 platforms for even MORE hectic mayhem. tell me what you think of my little idea here. :ninja: idea #2 a lot of platforms with bridges in a weaving pattern with a larger platform in the center. the platforms furthest from the center will have bridges leading up to a platform above the large platform. there will be some sort of structures on each platform but i have not decided what kind of structures that will be used.
What gametypes are you planning to run with? I don't see this playing well at all. I think the map would be interesting architecturally though.
i'm obviously not going to put it on slayer but some other gametypes might work. i haven't really decided yet so i'm gonna get back to you on that. i am most likely going to make a completely different design as to make for better gameplay. :ninja:
Idea 1: with good use of those giant walls and circle things that could be a very large map. Idea 2: just like guardian, you can never have too many of those.
i would't say its like guardian because the layout of guardian is more of conforming to the trees while idea #2 is more of a symmetrical map.

I prefer idea 2 to idea 1. Too tired to think, not sure what else to say in this post but good job on paint skills?

This is a really great idea Urchin. I can't wait to see it's recreation in Reach, should make for some interesting gameplay. =)
