This is a thread to talk about Weapon and Armour (ability) sets (Combinations) in Halo: Reach Beta. You can post strategies, combos, or just your favourites. Stealth Sniper. Spoiler Stealth + Sniper Rifle/Focus Rifle Advantages: More of chance to lineup the perfect shot. Disadvantages: Hard to keep your eye on what's going on around you, once you fire your cover is blown. Air Sniper. Spoiler Jetpack and Sniper Rifle/Focus Rifle Advantages: Quick terrain movement, perch high above the ground to give you a clear shot. Disadvantages: Often needs a quick shot, before you start to fall. Being in the air exposes you. Shotgun Lock. Spoiler Shotgun with Armour Lock Advantages: Once you EMP, the shotgun will kill with one bullet. Armour lock will protect you until you run out or have a good shot. Disadvantages: Time between Armour Locked and UnLocked. Air Launcher. Spoiler Plasma/Grenade Launcher with Jetpack. Advantages: Long enough to get a lock, grenades should make it the rest of the way. Disadvantages: Being high up exposes you from cover, takes a second to lock and fire. Sprint Shotgun/Sword. Spoiler Shotgun or Sword with Sprint Advantages: Close Range weapon after sprinting, allows you to get up close. Disadvantages: Still weak while sprinting, doesn't work at long ranges or large terrain height differences. Stealth Shotgun/Sword. Spoiler Shotgun or Sword with Stealth. Advantages: Close Range weapon, stealth lets you get close. Disadvantages: While moving, you're more easily seen, once you use one of these weapons you become exposed. Comments/Opinions/Suggestions?
