A while back, I made a wave system consisting of eight waves. I accidentally deleted the map, but I will soon make another and post screen shots of the process I am going to briefly outline below. This is one way to make a six-wave system for whatever infection game one may be making:1. The zombies start far away from the human base, with starting traits to make them weakest. 2. They respawn in a sealed room, with 5 teleporters lined up, so they have to walk through the first one's to reach the farthest one. The first four are blocked, forcing them to go through the 5th teleporter that takes them a little closer than where they started. 3. They 1st teleporter unblocks, forcing them to pick up a custom powerup before they take the last teleporter, making them stronger. 4. The 4th teleporter is unblocked, taking them even closer to the base. 5. The 2nd teleporter is unblocked, taking them to one of two room (random) that contain either an active camo or an overshield on a timed respawn, so that only one zombie out of many becomes a specialized zombie. 6. The 3rd teleporter is unblocked, taking them closest to the human base. The latest this wave can be created is at 3 minutes into the game. At the very last wave, the zombie's teleport closest to the human base, with the more powerful custom powerup traits that overwrite their respawn traits, and every once in a while (whatever you set it to), a specialized (invisible or tank) zombie attacks the human base.
Seriously, stop posting in white! I don't see why you need to use your own font and colour; I can barely read any of your posts because you keep doing this and I use oldskool (like many others), whihc has a white background. please just post in default font and colour to save us having to Ctrl + A all your text to read it. This does sound okay, although quite complicated. Your idea makes me think of Mastar's Manifest map and its tele system for the zombies.
EpicFishFingers My default font color is silver. I use Old School as well, and I don't know if it's just my computer screen, but I can read it just fine without having to highlight it. Also, I made the original map for this idea back in November. Manifest didn't influence it in any way whatsoever. noklu It depends on how the map is made. You could have the teleporters for the zombies outside the human's path, like in Manifest, or you could have the humans trapped in a base, like in **** Zombies. If you wanted to, you could have the teleporters able to be camped by the humans, ruining the game. It's your choice.
You may want to make multiple hatches... the humans could camp around the teleporters and kill the zombies as they come out. Battle Rifles to the head make even resistant zombies die quickly. Probably two teleporters for each wave would suffice.
Jzzkc You need to learn to check if that question was answered before in the thread (ie. the post above you):
That's dandy and all... but I still contributed to the post itself. I offered a solution to fix the camping issue. I know people brought it up, and I was agreeing with them. However I offered a solution to the issue, therefore the post was not spam. In addition, I don't appreciate you sending me a message, merely because of a post that was only slightly contributory to the subject. What do you want me to say instead. "Lolol.. great idead, 5/5"? Please, send the hate mail to people who deserve it and don't thoroughly think through their posts.
OK. Thank you for the imput. Sorry about the hate-mail, but I was in a rather bad mood when I read your original message, and I seem to allow my emotions from one aspect of my life flow into others.
Like I said again on meh custom board which is prolly gonna get banned one of these days (damn ego).. I was very groggy when I posted as well, so I overreacted as well... so no harm no foul. Regardless, this seems like a very clever system.. just be sure that it isn't obvious where the teleporters are. A few of my maps needed to be tweaked because the humans were able to spawn camp the zombies as they went through teleporters, usually enclosed rooms with muffins tend to help.
