Alrighty! I finally have something on here. Its my first map on Reach. Its called Waterway, set in the Forgeworld Lagoon. Its called this because of the slightly submerged waterways. I know it isnt perfect, but its pretty fun. Its 2-6 players for a reason. Its quite a small map, and there are only 10 spawns, each of which is random but spread out. Spawn camping wont be possible, but anymore than 6 people and the spawning starts to break. Also, its FFA only. Its setup that way. The map is asymetrical, and the spawns are randomized. The map contains 3 power weapons: Shotgun Sniper Rifle Grenade Launcher Each has a fairly low ammo rate. The map also contains multiple magnums and DMRs. Here are the pics(Dont let them mess up....): First Overview Second Overview Sniper spawn and walkways. Hanging killball. Purely aesthetic. Covered Walkways. Map centre. Bear in mind, this map has lots of cover, but lots of open areas. It may not be a great map, but its something I want to build on. Ive played it with 5 friends and it was pretty fun. It's not a cave mate. If you look closely again, you will find that it's just a dead end. Anyways, cool map Will give it a DL and a test run
Love idea and concept but it does need some more stuff when I played it I found myself constantly coming back to the same area where I could easily hide and snipe. My idea is build this in a larger scale don't rebuild just add more. Other than that I love it really came along well and interesting! Also thanks for downloading my map! ( I think my racetrack better XD )
Map looks good for maybe free for all slayer, or maybe 2v2... Which in that case I think the maps a little small. The idea is great and looks well forged. Curious on how long it took to make and maybe more weapons would be good. It seems like you have some great ideas, but dont just stop at "an idea"... Transform that idea into a masterpiece full of great gameplay, aesthetics, and uniqueness. What I would do is make a v2, with some more weapons and a little more parts to the map. Great job, looks like you have potential
I DL this and I have to say the map was not as good as I thought it would be. Focusing on the gameplay many errors. First of all you can tell that one side is completely overpowering. What I mean is that there are a lot of buildings on one side, which can show eniquality. The map by itself has a good concept, which shows you thought about it. I do not think you put a good amount of time into it though. Purely because of the uneven bridges and pieces thrown on the map. The 2 platforms in the middle of the water is not part of a map. Looks to me like you just got lazy. Also, since the map looks a little small, I can tell you were nowhere near your budget. You should try and get that as close as you can to it without having nothing left. That makes an amazing map, one that has great gameplay, asethetics, equality, and neatness. You lack in most of these just because you didnt take your time.
Thanks for the feedback. As for one side being overpowering, the map is assymetrical, and the spawns are randomized. The game is also for free for all and oddball, not team slayer. Second, the download did mess up, which I have fixed. The first download had some problems with uneven bridges were a problem, but they were fixed. The platforms in the water serve a huge purpose in the map. I found the map going two routes, which made the gameplay campable. The platforms allow players to jump between the 4 main gameplay areas of the map, and speed up the moving process. But thanks, and every problem you have found with the map is being taken into consideration, as I am nearly finished version 2.
