Water vehicle in Halo: Reach?

    I know that there will be no water vehicles but just cuz they say deep water is fatal to spartans doesnt mean they cant go on a boat that is ON the water

    Kilr0n, the problem with the ghost is that it's only shallow water it goes on, bungie showed us with longshore that unless they change that fact in reach, ghosts will take a swan dive right to the bottom of the deep water otherwise.

    Actually there are two points to it. First, they keep you from getting killed in the deep water. Second, if you can transport the objective carrier, then maps can be made where a water craft can be used to transport a bomb or flag from the tall thin island surrounded by deep water. It would prove very entertaining.

    Interesting. Your explanation gives some insight into how the engine works. Given all the glitches that one experiences, I would expect the engine to be much more simpler. In fact, it would probably be safe to say that the engine could simplify and the glitches could be reduced without significant or noticeable degradation of video.


    And I can say that because the video is very much degraded by the overly used and very complex physics engine glitching.

    but I digress...

    It'd be cool, but as mentioned, it is pretty impractical but it might be okay if it were only in forge, sort of like shade turrets. You don't see much of the UNSC's naval division in the campaign to be honest.
