I had planned on getting a Mac, but I'm going into Cs/IT..so not completely practical. Besides I found this little beauty It'll be bout $2700, which isn't too bad..gettin er in 2 weeks. One of the reviews was this list: PC World - The 100 Best Products of 2008 Apple takes the spots of: 2, 13, 17, 18, 22, 26 (mac book pro, highest rated comp on the list, both desk n lap), 28, 33, 66, 75, 80, 89 (Air, two macbooks on the list damn)...so tell me apple isn't awesome? My laptop came in at 62 Some other cool stuff on their. XBL got 12. I think I'll turn this into a topic. The list is pretty cool actually.
Win. Was the iPhone on there? That thing is just complete genious(Though I still prefer the MacBook/Pro).
Ive had vista for a year now, some minor problems, occasional programs that stop responding, but other than that no real problems, i have a laptop with xp that runs pretty well, and it has some stuff i like and so does vista. Vista isnt a bad, i think that alot of people just over exagerate.
To add to that, it has only been out for a year, so there will be updates to fix some bugs in the system.
I prefer not to associate with the crapstock of closed-source software that you people refer to as Microsoft and Apple. Naw, but really. I've been a pro-Windows person for a long time, if only because Windows computers actually had a right click on the mouse when I grew up with them. **** 'Control-Click'. If I had had more experience with Macintosh computers with two-button mice, I probably would have been a lot more Mac-based. Anywho, Windows for me was the way to go, right up until I started fooling around with Linux about a year ago. My Windows XP Laptop, desperately in need of an upgrade, completely nuked its own software somehow. I mean, it would still boot up and stuff, but it would take at least 16 minutes long to start up and shut down. So I was like, "**** that!", and decided to try my luck on Ubuntu. Ubuntu is great and all, being one of the most popular distributions of Linux. That being said, it's too simplistic for me. So after I've backed up all of my data on my HDD to a external one, I'm going to try install a different OS. Probably either BackTrack, Slackware, Fedora, or BSD.
Yes I want to get a Mac or go back to XP.My desktop does not show anymore,I scanned for viruses none detected. It just does not show my desktop, safemode does nothing, reboot nothing.Just an empty purple screen. \0_o?
