    Why hello there good sirs! How are you doing on this fine evening? Good? Great! Because I'm here to turn that upside down! Yeah, that's right. I'm a bad guy. I'm here to make your world a living hell. I am going... whats that? Oh, right. This is just a map post. No need to go along with the name of the map. Now then. You may wonder why I've called this map Villain. Well, that's simple. Because my good buddy Erupt made a map called Hero. And what's a Hero without a Villain? So yeah! That's partly the reason I made this map. The other reason is that I felt that there weren't enough asymmetrical maps for the Throwdown Contest (yes, this is a map for the Throwdown Contest). So, after a good thought, I decided to make it. It didn't actually take all that long, I'd say over a scheme of four days the basic map was done, took a while longer to test and all that other jazz though. ​

    So yeah. Villain is a medium sized asymmetrical map geared towards 2v2 gameplay. Specifically for the Throwdown gametype. There are some long/med lines of sight (los) and enough cover to make your way in to a close quaters fight. The top level is pretty open and small. It has a sniper rifle and a some grenades with four main ways up to it. The lower level(s) feature more of a closer quater style base and is larger. It has two evades, one concussion rifle, a hammer, and a rocket that spawns later in the game. There are also health packs down there... mainly to make the top area less of place to camp. All together, I feel it's a pretty solid map... and I hope you feel the same!​

    Here's a listing of the weapons on Villain.​

    x2 Needle Rifles; 30 sec. 2 clips
    x2 DMRs; 30 sec. 2 clips
    x2 Needlers; 45 sec. 2 clips
    x2 Plasma Pistols; 45 sec.
    x1 Gravity Hammer; 90 sec.
    x1 Rocket Launcher; 120 sec. 0 clip (doesn't spawn at start)
    x1 Sniper Rifle; 150 sec. 1 clip
    x1 Concussion Rifle; 180 sec. 1 clip
    x1 Frag Grenade 30 sec.
    x1 Plasma Grenade 45 sec.
    x2 Evades; 30 sec. (up to four can be on the map at once)
    x2 Health Packs; 15 sec.

    This here is something you notice while playing the map. If you notice, there is a fusion coil right in the upper-center of the pic, that blows up and can be (generally) heard anywhere on the map. This "sound" will let players know that Rockets are about to spawn. The yellow light "shows" players that Rockets have spawned. They BOTH will spawn around when the rockets spawn. ​

    This is the grav' lift that takes you up to the upper level. "red-side" evade spawns here.

    Holy crap this looks better in the pics than it does in game. Or.. maybe that's just because I haven't seen it lately... idk. The rocket warning things are genious, did you ever test the light for screenlag though? I doubt there is any... just sayin'. The broken railing this looks awesome, too. You definately did something right with this map and I hope to play it again soon. I also hope we can make a map together in the future- maybe called... Herain? Villo? Uh... I doubt that'd turn out well ;)

    Ha, thanks for the comment man. Yeah, I made sure there wasn't any screenlag with the light, and yes, we'll have to do that.

    Call it; Right in the Middle (or something of a neutral balance)

    Oh Mah God

    Only 1 comment on this outstanding map! At least Erupt knows whats up, this map had incredible aesthetic detail when I played with DTL, Vorp, and some other guy whom I forget, Has it changed since? I remember when I walked through this in forge with DTL, and I was like "A concussion Rifle and Rocket Launcher right next to each other? And you were all like "Oh after a while a sound will go off, signaling players that the rocket launcher spawned" And I was all like O_O holy ****! That's awesome! Really made me look like an idiot anyways, if you'd be so foolish as to ignore this map, you're really missing out on an awesome 2v2 experience.

    lol, thanks Ociee... and the only thing I think I changed was the spawn time on something.

    Wow I remember testing this way back when. Hopefully you fixed up the spawn issues (no doubt you did). I remember enjoying it minus the one or two issues.
