Premise: Viceroy is a reimagining of my Halo 3 map Omega. The map has seen some major changes, many thanks to Noxiw's review of the original. The map is medium sized (bigger than Omega) and asymmetircal. The map is great for both FFA and team games. 2v2s proved to be the most fun here. The map is set up for all stock gametypres except for Race and Invasion. My favorites games to play here are Slayer, team Slayer, and Stockpile. Layout: Viceroy has seen substantial changes made to the original. There is a large central chamber with a lower walkway with two grav-lifts, a rock spire, a mid walkway where the grenade launcher is located, and 3 upper walkways. The red base is fairly open but still has plenty of cover while the blue base is fairly enclosed. The layout is somewhat complex, but quite easy to get the hang of. It works great with all AAs, particularly sprint and jetpack. I found the forging in this map to be very interesting, using techniques most Reach forgers have passed by or neglected in many maps. Aesthetics are great. Game flowed well in 1v1 as well, great job man.
I'm glad you like the aesthetics and the map in general. In Halo 3 I never got much praise for my aesthetics so it's good to know that I'm improving my maps aesthetically. And come to think of it, I guess I do forge a bit differently than many others, I had never really thought of that... And yes the map plays quite well in 1v1s, I wanted to make it fun with any number of people under 8 and I think I succeeded there. Thanks for the feedback!
