This map is a great slayer map. Good for just regular slayer or up to 4v4 in team slayer. There are a lot of different structures on it. Such as the bridge made out of walls that has a shotgun in the center, the small tunnels to hide in or grab an object from an active camo to a flamethrower, the sniping towers which give you a great over view of the entire map, and so many more!!! Also, about every part of scenery is either interlocked or geo-merged. Weapons: Battle Rifle x6 Plasma Rifle x2 Brute Shot x1 Covenenant Carbine x1 Mauler x2 Sniper Rifle x2 Shotgun x1 Rocket Launcher x1 Turret x1 Flamethrower x1 Equipment: Frag grenade x8 Plasma grenade x10 Spike grenade x8 Bubble Shield x2 Power Drain x1 Regenerator x1 Overshield x1 Active Camo x1 This is the outer overview of the map... as you can see on top of the middle tower there is a ghost. To get the ghost you have to find the regenerator and throw it where you picked it up. That will create a man cannon lift that can lift you onto the tower to get the ghost. I think you've grasped the concept that if it's interlocked and geomerged then it's epic and has to have great gameplay. From the looks of the map it seem cluttered and doesn't have any flow or any sence of the structures coinciding with another. I'm going to download this and give it a go, but I know for a matter of fact this map spell diaster and overpowerment by just looking at the equipment and the weapons. I suggest you take your maps to the testers guild before you post them, this is in need of a second version. You need way more lines of sight take out the invisibility and the overshield, take the rocket launcher, shotgun, turret, and flamethrower out, and give the map some flow and a little open space. I have it que'd up now and will test it when I get on my Xbox.
Holy crap this map is amazing! I love the aesthetics that you pumped into this map and the various areas of cover. You did a great job for a first post, but you have to know that you should avoid taking screenshots in forge. It's not the best way to present your map based on what others said. Also, because this is a slayer map, people may want action shots. Hintity hints....and a good map. 5/5...wait, where is the Download link? Edit: I don't think its too cluttered, looks good for 6 player FFA or 3v3 slayer. It would be cluttered if he tried to fix in vehicles...
well you obvously know how to do advanced forging techniques, that much is obvious. as for gameplay im not so sure... i would do as CaMOfo said and visit the testers guild. ill dl for the interlocks, but yeah, visit the testers guild.
At first I was like "holy ****", but then I was like "wtf". The map looks great, has great geomerging and interlocking, but 75% of it seems to make no sense, sorry. You geomerged a sideways open single box, but this makes really no sense in gamplay. It would decrease the flow and movement, especially if someone got in there. Your random carpet geomerges look cool, but just provide bumps when you walk in reality. There is only one way up to the sniper, and it is an awkward grav lift jump. There is also only one way up to the ghost, which is a cool way to get up, but would decrease flow. The weapon setup is a bit overpowered, remove one powerup, the turret, and the flamethrower. In the back of the map, you have almost no LOS from one side to the other. In the front, it's one long open view. I know you took a lot of time on this, but you should really think out the map. Try the tester's guild.
I havent played it, but from the pictures your map lookes like a "look-what-i-can-do-in-forge"-map. + You have way to many weapons and stuff on the map, i dont have to play it to know that foundry is too small for this arsenal (26 granades, i think avalance got only about 20 ^^)
Yeah I agree with everyone else. You are an amazing forger with all of those Geomergers and interlocking but alot of it is really pointless and it just looks like your just trying to prove that you can geomerge and interlock ect. It looks like you just made structures that you thought looked cool with out any real thought about gameplay, like in the first pic at the bottem with that double box nearly completly in the ground, it looks cool and requires alot of skill but it is horrible for gameplay. And the weapons and equipment list looks like, again, you didn't put any thought into it. BUT WAIT!!! Whatever you do DONT GIVE UP!!! Like I already said you are an amazing forger and with a bit of practice with balancing out you maps you could become a Professional! Like people above me said take you maps to the tester guild and get feedback. NEVER GIVE UP!!! So many people just give up on a map if they get a lot of bad feedback, but you must remember there is no such thing as bad feedback, just get rid of/change the stuff that gets bad feedback, sometimes it might be a massive change but it is usually worth it. I look forward to seeing your future maps.
From a pure Forging view, its great. From a gameplay view.....err.....not so much. Cluttered, and open at the same time. Also, hidden, physics-based game mechanics tend to annoy, rather than impress.
