Map Title: Verde Its... so... green Download Map Description: Verde Is a small 1v1/2v2 map centered around the greenhouse on Ghost town. The main green house is split into levels as well as a "catwalk" around the upper section. There are two tunnels into the lower part of the greenhouse that connect to a main hallway between the green house and main building. there's also a ramp from the center building to the catwalk. There is also a second way into the center room that splits off from the main hallway. The weapon on the map are 3 brute shots, 2 maulers, 1 sniper, about 8 carbines and BR's as well as many plasma nades. Catwalk external view of narrow tunnel View of the downstairs greenhouse Upstairs main room exterior wide tunnel down back center hall wide hall center room w/ two entrences narrow hall Center hall and catwalk hall Have fun-Afro
Your map is a little bit hard to understand. The way I see it is like some kind of circle with weapons in it. It's nice that you used the actual map for a lot of the cover but some people would call it "lazy". Anyways, you shouldn't generally put nades underneath weapon spawns like that, but overall a good idea just needs to improve. Probably would've been better made in foundry so you can make it neat with more cover and stuff, but keep the basic idea so it's still fun.
I try to forge off foundry as much as possible to make something different and fun, to me neat comes after fun.
I'd like to say that this map actually looks good. I'm not a major fan of non-Foundry maps, but this looks fairly good. I like the layout from the screenshots you provided. It looks unique and like it's basically camp-free (I'd hope). It also appears to be smooth and interlocked very well. With the weapons you said were on the map, I cannot be sure. It looks like there are A LOT of Brute Shots, BRs, and Carbines. I don't know how this will affect dynamics as of yet, but I will tomorrow when I playtest this.
It looks pretty good it seems like ther could be better interlocking in some places. I love maps that are enclosed to only use part of them they bring the map a whole new feel to them. Overall good job.
seems rather plain doesnt look like too much effort was put it kinda sloppy but i can understand because its not on foundry. but even so it justr looks like you added a few hallways and a trail of guns.
I don't know what pictures you are looking at, but everything there is straight. Those "sloppy" pictures are of the outside of the hallways, the insides are very nicely forged; as viewable in picture #7. And he just added a few hallways and some guns? In Foundry alls you do is place boxes and walls and hit Start New Round alot. I'm pretty sure on those maps you just place weapons as well...might just be me though? It looks like a really nice map, very creative imo. And in picture #3, whats the ManCannon there for?
Wow, this map caught my eye. It looks very original, and I like the pathways outside the main part of the map. I can see that this took a while. I just have two questions. Are there bases set up for teams? And what gametypes does this work with? Anyway, good map, i`m not so sure about the weapon selection, but i`ll DL it soon and find out.
I normally ignore Ghost Town maps because they are just some infection map where it changes the filters until you can't see anything (I really hate those kinds of maps). I'm glad to see a Ghost Town map added to the competitive side as opposed to the casual. The design is pretty interesting and unique. Even though the outside is a little sloppy, the inside looks good and that's all that matters in gameplay. I'll give this a DL and see how well it plays. Actually, I was thinking about making an enclosed ghost town map recently. I didn't know if it would play well or not, but maybe this map will help me determine it.
