An asymmetrical "3 vs 3 suggested" map Size: Medium/small **Please rate after playing** As I recently made a ''2v2'' map, (Clearance) I found that I seem to be Forge-happy for these smaller, asymmetrical maps; they're just fun to make, and fun to play. Gametypes: Slayer, CTF, Oddball, KOTH, and Infection. Equipment: Battle rifle x2 30sec start yes Carbine x2 30sec start yes Sniper rifle x1 120sec start yes Overshield x1 150sec start yes Plasma greande x4 30sec [depending start] Spike grenade x2 30sec start no Over-head view #1 Over-head view #2 "Overshield street" Sniper spawn Under the scaffolding Scaffolding + ramp Up the "Scaffolding ramp" "Lobby" over-view "Lobby window" "Lobby ramps" "Overshield street" block leading to second "Lobby ramp" ...and leading back out to "Overshield street." Oh, I almost forgot. There is a Grav Lift covered by a shield door that leads up to the "Lobby" from down where the Overshield is. Faults: 0 (That I know of) If anyone finds any, please inform me so that I can improve the map. (Other than players "stacking" to get out of the map.) Concerns: 1 While playing oddball, there is a wooden ramp where a player can drop the ball underneath it. Now this isn't some huge deal, but it causes players to have to wait for the ball to reset. I'm not too worried about it, just on the fact that it's a good (but longer) "Play ball" strategy. looks a little too small to promote good gameplay, but other than that this map is well forged, try to make it bigger, add a section or something, 4/5
This one is very good too. I think that the OS idea is good, just a bit fishy. It has the block small (i think), and then tunnel ramps interlocked for a walkway. It just doesn't look like you can walk to the OS, it seems like you need to jump which could be a bit of a problem, Other than that, good forging, and A good idea. 4/5
Yes, I'm talking about in general, the OS seems overpowering and would promote bad gameplay because its small, just add something to the map, like new gameplay area, its still well forged though...
It looks like a problem, but actually try walking up it, it works. The sniper instantly takes out Overshields with one shot. There are lots of sticky grenades, which takes out someone even with OS in one hit. I've played a few games on it. It's not overpowering.
Looks like a great small maps for small teams, though I agree that the overshield might be overpowering. Looks smooth and well forged though!
Another great one Remy. Saw this last night when it was half-built(wow that was fast). Can't wait to get some playtime in on this, and also finish that other map we are working on.
Calm down. You're taking the OS waaay too seriously, infact for all we know it could promote great gameplay. Before making comments like this i suggest playing on the map.
