V-Griffball by: Sticky32 A Griffball court I made that has a little twist... well... tilt. THis is on foundry and unfortunatly fairly small due to the lack of walls. Use the default Griffball game varient for this map, however for best gameplay lower the ball carriers speed to 125% and have a three second period when players spawn that they have 90% speed. Every single immovable object on the map is interlocked and/or geomerged. This is also not a buget gliched map. Without further adue lets get to the pics. I somehow managed to get myself banned from xbox live on halo recently... and I still cant stop laughing about that. so i probably wont be able to play test with anyone.
Originality WIN! The game play is really interesting and urges me a lot to play it soon. One problem that I though of was that people would go down to the bottom fast when they go to the upper parts and that I have to see for myself. It would be convenient if you would do the gametype changes yourself because there are quite a number of them and it takes time to do. Good job on making such a unique map.
At first i though it wouldn't work, but when you mentioned the improved speed, it made sense. i suppose going up the side and over the players would be a tactical alternative to going dwon the middle. good idea.
Not exactly original, because some one made a slanted version, but still its some what original. And second thing, shouldn't the plant point be near the top, but they have to like jump to reach it?
This seems like a lot of fun. Definitely more fun then the normal version. The slants definitely bring a lot of new tactics to the game. I am guessing you can't get oout of the level since you are high up in the level which is good. I am going to download this and play a good game of griftball going. A 4.5/5 from me for now until I test gameplay. Chow!
very cool i was actually planning to make this exact court after seeing the slanted court but never got around to finishing it so i will definitely give it a try it is (slightly) similar to a court in the Crypt which is nearing completion - the Crypt gives you much more room to work with so you can use the standard game settings EDIT: i will let you know if there are any problems after i try it
Instead of us having to make our own gametype (and the fact that most people don't save every gametype they play), would you mind posting it for us? Other than that, good job. Looking forward to seeing a map like this on SandBox.

the only problem i have with this court is that it is 3-4 single boxes shorter than the map i had planned - you can leap from top center to the bomb plant in one jump i actually still have an early build saved - i used corner walls for the bottom of the V and built the sides up with bridges - the funny thing is that it is on a very early version of the actual Grifball court that eventually made it into the DBL EXP weekend - it is so old it has sections of Burnie's original wall still in place

I like how you tied buddhacrane's distortion aspect with grifball, but similar to the problem I ran into with a tilted (40 degrees) court, you had to downsize alot, making it easy to score quickly. I'd advise to put the plant points in opposite corners. Otherwise it looks pretty smooth!
i like the idea but can you run up the slopes or are you all going to march into battle in a straight line formation and die but looks really good wont download until i get a reply
the only thing that I dislike 'bout the map is that how you jump is an EXTREMELY important factor about how you jump and how you kill people. I can see a few ways for an easy extermination by a glance.

Wait... you made a map like this for rocketrace? I'd like to see this, i love rocket race. Please send me a link when u get it posted. Also anyone can use this as a v shaped template(or whatever you want to call it), as long as i get credit for the part i built.
