This map looks not very well designed yet fun in a strange way. Try turning the boxes over on the crumbling isle. Like the theme though because Star Wars=Pwn
Knight, yea I know, didnt think to make the boxes upside down til it was too late :/ and Humboys, I know, I r 1337 H4XX0RZ... noa where mah Rec0nz? lol
The Review Hub Map Name: Utapau Author: Zstrike13 Reviewed By: E93 (GT: Eduardo Dubs) Enjoyment: 6/10 Zstrike did a reasonable job in making this enjoyable, although the gametype he posted it with does need some improvement. What is really actually fun, is going around each of the ''stages'' he built. Just be sure to not make the same mistake I did, and read the Map Thread to fully understand the map and the game better. Balance: 9/10 Balance is pretty good. Both the zombie and the humans have swords, making it pretty hard to...''unbalance''. The only things stopping this from getting a ten in this category, are the choppers, that may give whoever takes them first the advantage, and the only other weapon in the map: the Needler. Durability: 4/10 This map does, however, lack durability. The starting points (since you don't re-spawn), are always the same, and to get out, you need to take a teleporter. If you manage to be just a little bit quicker than the opponent, you mgiht be able to spawn camp behind or in front of your opponent's teleporter. And although he might have intented it to be like this, some of the bridges blocking off the inside have some gaps that you can slip through. Aesthetics: 5/10 The peculiar thing just at the end of the map is pretty weird, and I have to say, that although it makes no sense, it was kinda funny. The stages are a bit symmetrical, which gives it some extra points in my point of view. Originality: 8/10 The idea was really original, and neat, but it just didn't come to life as you'd expect of an idea like this, in the map itself. I would have never thought of the Star Wars Utapau thing. Overall score (Average of the above): 6.4/10 Pretty neat overall. I suggest you read the thread first. That'll make it funner for you, and be sure to explain it to everyone before the game starts. The real fun here, is just going past these stages and all. The gametype, I would say, does need some improvement, but there's still some ground to work on in the map. Sorry the review wasn't that good Sticky G, just had to be honest.
Lol its cool cloney. I think you did a great review of the map. Id give it around the same. I know it wasnt my best map, but it was fun to make and is IMO fun to play. When you know what you're doing. As for the choppers, yea, it gives an advantage to get them first, but just make sure then that you keep your eye open for them, and get them. Though Ive had it where I got the chopper first, made it through the tunnels and near then end hit a fusion coil, flipping me and letting someone else get ahead. So it can go both ways. As for the bridges, didnt realize it until after too late :[ Ill go in and try to fix that. Overall, superb review cloney XD Thank you :]
Your welcome mah Cloney XD Also, just want to know, what in the gametype needs improvement, so I know what to fix?
Umm.... I'd say the gravity doesn't really fit with the speed. And it also takes too many hits to kill the zombie.
hmm... well the zombie is tough so he isn't easily overpowered by a double team. But if you say so, I'll look into it. And I understand the gravity thing. XD Thanks
Try experimenting over and over on it with different groups of little kids. I think that's what they were made for.....in factories and such..
looks great zstrike! we should play it sometime!! but can you break out on the last part? how do you make them stay on the platform or do they have to? oh and is your sister hott??
