Ok i got starcraft 2 today and you need the internet to install it, i really hate the idea of needed the internest to install computer games because i have a very slow net. My net = to download 5 megabites its 5 hours so its crap and i just can't install starcraft 2 because my net just keeps cutting out. So do you think Computer games should need the internet to install games?
Well, yes but most dont require it.... It is basically a way to insure that only one person can use the game and keep all of the liscences in check.
How did I know you meant Starcraft 2 by just looking at the thread title. I'd really hate playing "matchmaking" with you with your connection. It'd make me want to rip my eye balls out. Sorry for being so dramatic, but I played some people last night in "MM" and they where so laggy.
You know, you could have bought the disc? If your internet isn't good enough, don't try downloading it...I have the box right next to me now, it came with a 12GB disc, just popped it in, installed it in a few minutes, and I was playing by 12:30 the night it came out.
As did I And this is why discs are still around. If you couldn't have waited to go out and buy the game from a retailer instead of online, ESPECIALLY with your internet connection, IMO you deserve to wait. Patience is a virtue, and you obviously didn't have it.
I do have the disk its just the patches that stuff me up they take for ever to download. as i said i do have the disk and the patches stuff me up, but i am not waiting 10 years for the goverenment to bring out faster internet. Just so you get the meaning on how slow my net is: a 40 megabite patch has taken over 40 hours to get to 50 % download complete. Now my internet disconected from the internet and i have to stat again.
