Wow this looks really cool, but not the best BR map. Though me and my Pro partner will probably still dominate, I hope...
This map is actually considrablely smaller than we thought.Gunslinger and American and I all looked at this and the pictures just don't seem to do the map justice. Although I found it interesting how the stairs and bridges were configured... never seen that before. Hmmmm....
Great job on the map. It is the first featured map I have downloaded for some time, and it appears to be well worth it. There is not a surplus of maps in which I can display my crouch-jump prowess.
Looks nice, but most maps do these days when they get featured. XD I give 4/5 for actually having a purpose, how dare they!? A real 5/5 though, respecting my elders, foo.
terrific map dude, it's very beautifully made. seeing as how it was made for 2v2, it's perfectly spaced. (the city design) 5/5
to be honest, i pulled this up, looked around. I wasnt really all that impressed. the forging was well done, but it was not a map that struck me as special. i see nothing innovative or ground breaking. The asthetics were alright at best. So why does this map deserve front page material? If gameplay is your answer, i expect to see Metro up here soon, cause its gameplay is the best in a long time... AND its got a great look... AND he was the first to make an actual crane out of the crane. Sorry guys, im just not interested in this one. I have to be "that" guy.
unfortunately, you are "that" guy. Did you read the first post? This is the round 1 map for the 2v2 Faceoff Tournament. All tournament maps will be on the front page and double as features, just like in the 1v1 Showdown tournament of the past.
Well I played this some already, and I lost almost all the time (mostly cause I got into a groove late, or teammate wasn't helping, sharpshooter...) Here, I will get what I don't like about the map out of the way first. BAD Layout- The layout was decent, but cramped. Some parts I actually really liked (mostly the 2 small rooms with the window panels, I'll get more into it later) but it was just to small. It hurt my head, cause you had to look up alot, and then down, and it made me almost set my sensitivity to 10 again. Once a team controlled the top, it was game set and match. Now, if I was more skilled, it may not be an issue, but you play against an equally skilled team, it is a challenge to overtake them. Partially cause moving around was a *****. I would run into walls jutting out constantly as I strafed, and then killed. The stairs going to the slanted walkway, you have to jump, unless you walk past that small space, and that was an issue. Like that part, you just have to jumped your way through the map, and work your way to the top, and then drop down on their heads, and get back up again. Gameplay- It was fairly decent, however as mentioned above, the constant jumping ruined flow in my opinion. There was hardly enough room to make good use of any of the longer range weapons, while smgs/pistol were almost useless to use. If you had an AR and a Mauler you were good as long as you were up top. However, starting with the AR, there was little chance you would be able to dethrown the winning team uptop while they had the power weapons. The snipers should have less ammo too, cause it takes no time at all to get both snipers, and then you have an almost full clip. GOOD Layout- Like thesilencebroken said, not too many wow factors, however, there were some stuff that I liked, making this feel like a true competetive map, Mostly being, the ability to access areas that stray off the main path. The two small rooms that have the window panels were my favorite, because they had window high up you could stand in, and then drop down onto that platformand camp there for a bit in oddball and what-not. Also, you could use that seemingly useless pallet to get up on that ledge. In addition, you can get higher than the bridge on the A and B signs, however, so far I have only been able to nade jump up there. But the ledge below those is good too. I can see how little places like this can be used strategically. Gameplay- For a 2v2 tourney, this map works. I found that if one team mate was slacking, your team failed, and miserably too. So, in that sense, this map succeeded. However, it was frustrating when you were a lone man (even though I was usually the lacking team mate) cause there was nothing you could do. So overal, I would give this a 7/10. For what it was going for, it suceeded, but at the same time, some things felt lacking or could have been done better. It was good, just not THAT good so that it deserves constant praise as a classic to come, but maybe its just cause it does not work for me. However, makes it wish I was allowed to be apart of the Tourney. The WOW factor is not taken into account when I rated, since no one cares about wow as much when they are playing to win.
looks like a very clean map i like the style of gameplay and the asthetics are pleasing, keep up the good work
soz about that but i didn't know it is my first one and also this is a really good map cant wait till the two on two event
