UNSC Wyvern: An experimental UNSC Prowler retrofitted with salvaged Forerunner materials has been forced into a low altitude hover by engine trouble. Covenant Heretics, who've captured the nearby airbase, plan to use this opportunity to engage to ship, and capture the on board data core. They must first disable the Archer missile Platform mounted on top of the vessel, then destroy the shield generator, granting them access to the Data Core inside. This Core holds Earth's coordinates, rendering the Limited crew humanities last hope. Reposted on ‘Aesthetic’ section by popular request on original thread. Although not important, the Data Core has been replaced with a bomb objective; this is to allow Assaulting forces to use the Falcons to transport it back to base. This seems like a downgrade from the original in my opinion. In the original the missile platform was already overpowered by itself, even without the turret and rockets. But now with a spartan laser it seems even more overpowered. In addition, even if one were to get past that phase, it was nearly impossible to capture the core. The addition of a shotgun won't help too much. The main issues I saw were: Overpowered archer platform Impossible to capture the core Too easy to spawn kill attackers Falcons not spawning fast enough Not too much teamwork involved in the first phase
I agree with plasma blades. Whenever i played it is imposible to capture the core because you have the defenders spawning in between you and your way out. Also, most the time i found that there would be one or two people at the ship and the others waiting for a falcon, which resulted in less people to attemp to get the core, which contributes greatly to that issue. The archer is slightly overpowered but not as much as he says in my opinion. The first two phases are easy to combat and little resistance is shown. These problems need to get fixed in order for this to be a good casual map.
I’m sorry for the inconvenient, the wrong version of the map was posted by error, and it will be fixed momentarily. I honestly have no clue how the Spartan laser made it onto the map, but it is fixed now. As for the Archer platform I’m curious as to how it is overpowered, this was not mentioned on the previous version, all that was changed was the height at which it is merged into the walls giving it a slightly better field of view. Game mode has also been fixed; core was replaced with a bomb allowing you to ride in vehicles. Sorry again for the mix up, keep the comments coming so we can continue tweaking it to a more balanced state.
