Welcome Spartans to the UNSC's newest training facility. Built from the ground up and commissioned in the early parts of the human-covenant war, this is the UNSC's finest and most advanced LOW G training facility. After facing heavy causalities against covenant boarding parties and search parties, this facility was designed with the intent to train aerial units(specifically Spartans and ODST'S) in jet pack usage and advanced aerial combat battle techniques and formations, thus lowering causality rates in low gravity combat scenarios. Scenarios that were far to common in the early parts of the covenant war, ie: Summa Deep Space Incident. Inital Loadout Screen Inside Pool Outside View of Pool, Dual Vertical Bottom Lifts, and Dual "Top Linked" Teleporters Spawning Attics Antenna Level and Antenna Health Pack Flag Base's And Dual Horizontal Base Lifts Red/Blue Sniper and Healthpack Spawn. Bottom Level of Flag Base Dual Overshield/ Upper Vertical Down Lifts (Sends Players Downward at High Velocities) Hammer Arch (Rocket arch directly across from it on opposite wall-not in pic) Banshee Cubbys and Healthpacks(Behind banshees) Upper Teleporter Recivers (One way linked to Bottom, Bottom Up Only) Top of Map and Active Camo. (There is a one way teleporter covering the eniter top of the map and links players to the bottom pool lift, just above the water. This allows players to keep all there upward momentum after reaching the top of the map) This map is also set up for Headhunter, CTF, KOTH and Oddball. Due to fileshare restraints i was not able to place each game type in my file share but the "LGCS Slayer" Gametype includes all the Loadouts and movment settings for the other gametypes. Set to teams disabled for FFA. Speed 150% Jump 125% Gravity 50% Equipment Jetpack Equipment Usage Unlimited. 16 Player FFA HH is extremely intense and probably my favorite gametype next to team multiflag and crazy king. The two best in game comments i ever got from a play testing session was "Is This Halo 4?" and "this is the most fun i have ever had playing halo, scratch that, a video game, EVER!" I couldn't help but laugh at the Halo 4 one, but in all honesty this gametype and map is an absolute blast! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1PXnbgf68k Not the best gameplay video in the world, but does show off the map in a 3D manner!.
I liked this map A LOT. I found myself using every bit of area I dropped in. Easy to control myself in the maze of items. I give this a high score in my book. Definitely got inspired to do my own spin using the same set of rules. Thanks.
Why thank you. At first glance it may seem like a maze and so big that many would assume combat only takes place in certain areas, but as you said yourself it takes place everywhere! I would love to take a look at your own version, i love these types of maps!
Hey I remember testing this map out with you! I never played anything like it before Reach. You really created a whole new zeroG play style with your maps. Hope this one gets picked up by the community
Wow, this looks like it would make a really fun map. Definitely giving this one a download. Edit: The last picture says there is an active camo in it, and I couldn't find one on the map when I played it... Did you mean overshield?
If you look very closely you can see a small glowing orb, look between the two top teleporters. Thats where the active is just didn't show up to well in the screen shots my apologies! If you play the map you will see it very clearly.
I love this map. Before seeing this post, i didn't know it was 2-flag compatable. Things get really during FFA though with combat taking place everywhere. Needler's a beast on this map too.
