Two UNSC Bombers provide cover for a Marine landing party. The UNSC Bomber is a small ship designed to descend from orbit and hover above a battle, dispensing bombs as needed by the troops below. Landing Pad: Bridge: Bomb Bay: Gun Deck: Shields Up: Bombs Away: Second Bomber: Marine Base: Covenant Base: I have done a couple of big ships in the past, but was inspired by the Com Tower map to try a couple of small ones instead. There are also two covenant bases - in the forerunner structure. The Covenant are better armed as the marines have not landed everything they need for the assault. To get into the ships you take a banshee or hornet up to the landing pad. To drop the bombs you shoot the grav lift from the back of the bridge. If the enemy gets underneath they could detonate the bombs while they are still in the ship. Download UNSC Bombers
Actually quite impressed by the ship after playing it, a very nice layout and intuitive design using those watchtower bases like you did. The fact that it actually bombs is also neat and unseen. You should continue with ships, in fact continue your larger ones. I think you might have something there Also how does big team games work for this map? Can it support CTF, ASSAULT, KOTH ECT..?
Because of the layout i decided not to setup objective gametypes. KOTH might be fun if the hill is underneath the bomb bay
This would be a great KotH game, the bombers drop bombs down to defend the hill. (edit, uh, ya, i guess i agree with barc0de...) The bomb by could be covered with shield doors so the bombs can't be shot. Overall, a decent map, good aesthetics, the part i like the most is the bubble shield and the bomb bay. The covenant and marine base could have been just left out, unless they actually have a purpose. (aesthetic maps should be kept clean) Heres an idea, have two scorpions stationized on top of both bombers!
I would love to see a very nice territories gametype to be made for this aesthetic map because the ships are the right size to spawn defenders on them and to defend their territory. I can see how they can teleport from one ship to the other one. Well nice aesthetic map posted man...nice job
hey, very creative! i like how the ship has a bubble shield for it's "shield" lol. lemme just list off things that really appeal to me on a ship that you nailed... 1. Has a type of main artillery (turret) 2. Has a defensive mechanism (bubble shield) 3. Has bombs to drop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (fusion coils/power cores) 4. Looks nice 5. Well i gotta end it on 5 don't I? 6. Mmmm, no you don't... 7. Yeap, that's right! Lucky Sevens! ok well nice map dude it looks sweet!
I put the other bases in for storytelling purposes. Also - I have only ever used one side of avalanche and wanted to use both for a change
This map inspired me to make my own type of bombers, I hope you don't mind. Anyway, just a suggestion, instead on having the bomber just drop the bombs, you could also give it "missiles" by having a tube with a fusion coil in it, and then having mancannons that you can push the coil into. That is just a suggestion to make the bombers more useful.
I think it would be nice to put the marine base under the bomber so when the bombs drop they hit the vehicles.By the way amazing map
Thanks for all the feedback guys - I think a v2 is in order with two bombers facing off against each other and bases underneath. Any other suggestions
