Then why did you post? If that's not spam, I don't know what is. The map looks great. I love all the fences. However, it seems that a sword and compressed hallways would not play well.
This map for one looks incredibly small. Which is not solely a bad thing. What I do have a problem with is the fact that things are messy, which is showcased in the "Blue Spawn" picture for starters. You show that camping is a problem in your pictures, which is definitely not a good thing, nobody likes campers. Why play a map where it is encouraged? I'm sorry, but either take this out of Competitive Maps, or make a v2 with help from somebody who knows what they are doing. Playability may be somewhat fun, but from the looks of it, it looks like it will be a nightmare.
top left and right pictures look downright messy, and I second what ChAoTiC said, that the blue spawn pictures are messy as well. I also second the camping problem, yet you even encourage it....word...... I would definetely take the sword out, no power weapons, its too closed. Also, the map doesnt even have weapons on it from what I can see, and playing 2v2 like I believe you said would be atrocious gameplay. Sorry, fix that above...
The map looks slightly too small, seeing as someone could get the first kill and easily run over to the other side and spawn kill. Other than that it has a nice layout and the floors look relatively smooth, 3/5
I would call this a swing-and-a-miss. Heres why; -lack of (or at least not much is shown) any type of forging 101 techniques, -all the walls seem unaligned and quite crooked, -some of the floors look bumpy, -from what i can see theres 2 swords (uht-oh). -and i dont like campers. now for the constructive criticism part: - I like where the one sword is down the long triangular hallway. It is quite different, kinda a new take on rectangular passages. - You obviously know what you're doing in forge, but not taking the time. I like the overall feeling of this map. You need to smooth a lot of this map out, and remember that forge isn't as much based on skill (although that is a big aspect) as much creativity and patience. All in all, I did not dl this map, and so far I would rate this about a 2/5
I agree with everyone else, this map definitely needs tons more work. It does not look like a competitive map, with the dual maulers and three (?) swords. It also looks like an incredibly easy place to camp, with very open spawns, and almost no room for any other spawn points. This map has a good layout, besides the open spawns, and could become way better with some interlocking and strategic weapon placement.
cool map! i may suggest that you make the weapon layout a little more diverse. all i see are maulers and swords- you need more. but the map is cool
It's an interesting design but could use some interlocking. Clean this up and you may have a pretty decent map. 3/5
the map is ok to say the least i like the design and shape of the map but other than that i dont like anything else the interlocking that is there is very sloppy and than there are cracks in your walls where nades could go through which would ruin gameplay. My advice would be to clean the map up and make a V2
I like this map but it is lightly small and some of the walls are a little messy too. I would suggest cleaning it up a bit and maybe interlock a little in a v2. for now I'll rate it 3/5.
Now I can outright go and say it is very very sloppy in many areas! If you were to clean this up and think more about the BAD camping spots you have I would think of this map better. Now I really do like the idea of the long tunnels and the thick/wide starting area! It is a great idea, but a inexperienced map. If you go to forging 101 on the left hand side of this page you will find that. I suggest you find some time to just fool around with those teqniques then put them into a map. -Irish
Meh.. It looks pretty decent, the sword and small corridors wouldn't play very well. However I will not be all negative, It looks like you have a pretty good idea, but just didn't know exactly how to make it very well. The main structural Idea is nice, but looks like it needs something more. The map Doesn't have much interlocking, if any (Sorry, I didn't pay too much attention to that, because I care more about gameplay and such. Unlike some people.) But Interlocking could definately make the map neater. Is it possible to break out? I don't know if it would hit the level barrier or not, though. If it is, you should fix that. Anyway, I enjoy just the idea, and the gameplay couldn't be too bad. The spawns seem sort of close, but it's 2v2, so It would be very good. All in all, I like it. 3/5 for effort, and it definately looks like it would be fun.
