Too many great pink floyd songs, but I suggest listening to whole albums at a time (wish you were here is my favorite). It's truly something special.
Like I said before, wish you were here (the album) destroys my soul every time I listen to it. It's probably in part because I know the backstory, so I'll try to reiterate quickly to help you enjoy it. Basically, David Gilmour and Syd Barret (original Pink Floyd singer) were the best of friends. Syd went crazy after many, many doses of LSD and other hallucinogens. He went missing, and one day came back to the studio out of the blue overweight and completely insane. The grief that Gilmour felt inspired him to write that album, and It hits me right in the feels.
I know it's a bit old now, but I really liked this video. MGMT has other interesting music videos too, but this is my favorite.
Any appreciation for spacey ambient music here? I ****ing love Stellardrone's work. http://stellardrone.bandcamp.com/ Great music for sleeping, studying, tripping, making love, etc. My favorite tracks: A Moment of Stillness Airglow Ascent Billions and Billions Cepheid Comet Hailey The Divine Cosmos Endeavor Eternity Reprise Open Cluster Pale Blue Dot Stardome Enjoy bitches
These are all punk cover songs except for track 14. If you like Slayer, you have probably already heard it, but if you arent familiar with this album, I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND. Go break some ****.
