^ Mike Patton is very underrated, any project he does is just pure god to me. The National- Exile Vilify‏ - YouTube The National - Think You Can Wait‏ - YouTube
yea but patton is also a huge ****ing asshole, thats why none of his projects last for very long lol RIP Mr. Bungle. i got to see Patton perform live only once, and it was with Peeping Tom. Peeping Tom was pretty cool but they were no Bungle... it was very very very awesome to be able to see Rahzel beatbox live though. (they toured with all the guest artists off the album as well, so each song another artist would come out and perform with them.) Peeping Tom - 02 - Mojo (Feat. Rahzel & Dan The Automator)‏ - YouTube
That sounds awesome, I remember getting that album in like 9th grade, because I really like the group Dub Trio and they where on the album. I saw Dub Trio live a few years ago, it was in this small dank room in Dallas, and they justed walked on to the stage and started playing with out saying a word the whole set, until the end of the gig, it was awesome. As time goes on I find myself more attracted to instrumental bands like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You. Russian Circles, Isis, Pelican, If These Trees Could Talk, etc.. deserve a listen. Oh and much props for the national. Boxer is my favorite album from them. Isis and Pelican are pretty cool but honestly Pelican has one of the worst drummers ever, when i saw them live he couldnt even keep in time with the songs. But still i enjoy them, dont get me wrong. Samsara Blues Experiment - Singata Mystic Queen - YouTube
Definitely like it better then Jay-z's last album (wasn't all that fond of it) and Kanye has been strong on his last two outing. Thats kind of depressing to hear Pelican isn't good live, I've had one of there albums, Australasia, for a while. I always thought it was pretty good, but never liked it enough to check out the other albums. And I've always been a fan of Instrumental acts, like Holy ****, Explosions in the Sky, Battles, Dub Trio, and there is probably some more that I can't think of at the moment.
