Two forge problems.

    Firstly.
    Elephant problems.

    In Sandtrap in infection, only one elephant appears. The other one doesn't, and all the items that were on it appear in the middle. (This is in my map where both elephants are kitted out to be 'pirate ships'). Does anyone know why this is?

    In Sandtrap in assault, sometimes there is a round or two where none of the items appear on the elephant, and instead they all appear in the middle of the map, in the sky- even the bomb spawn and return points, meaning the round is impossible to complete.


    Secondly.
    Assault question.

    Is it possible to make an assault gametype where there are 3 teams? Or a gametype where 3 teams have bases and have some incentive to go into the enemy team's base?

    well for the first 1/2 of question 1... bungie made it so that only the Elephant by the smaller tower spawns...

    Question 1: You can't change the elephants settings, they are set by bungie. In any game that is considered "asymetric," such as Infection, or One Flag CTF or One Bomb Assault, only one elephant spawns. If an elephant doesn't spawn, and you placed stuff on it, the stuff floats.

    Question 2: No, but you can give a team multiple bomb plant points or spawn points (only one spawn will be used per team though).

    I think I understand.

    What settings would I need to use so that for the first two rounds, each team has to plant a bomb on the enemy elephant, for the third round each team has to plant a bomb in the middle, and for the forth each team has to plant a bomb on the enemy ship again?

    I'm not sure if you can do that. If you can, then bomb points have the "spawn order" option. If they do, then give the bomb spawn and plant points for each team that option with it set to the number you want it to spawn it to spawn in. So you would give the points on the elephants "spawn order" of "1" and the respawn areas there a "1" as well. Then place "2" and "3" points and spawn areas as well. I'm not sure if it will actually rotate each round either, but this is the only thing I can think of that might work.

    Just need to know now why in some rounds (symetric) all the items that should be on the Elephants appear in the middle.

    Was that two bomb, or one bomb? Sounds like you mean two bomb, in which case they should be there. If you didn't place a bomb spawn and plant for each team, and set the team, delete all the defaults, and then also place a neutral bomb spawn then you could get this problem though.

    Ooh- I don't think there is a neutral bomb spawn (it's not used).

    Could this be the problem? I'll check it out in a few mins.

    There's wasn't a neutral bomb spawn. I added one in, so I'll test it later.

    First question was already answered, so I'll focus on the second one.

    I made a experimental map with extra bomb and flag return points. I put one return point in well defended areas. In total, there were five points on each side. For symmetric assault and CTF games, it kind of muddles up in the game. Makes it much too frantic, especially with having to guard your own flag while getting the enemies, mostly because if they grab it, they'll get to a return point before you can do anything. However, with One Bomb assault, it makes the game tense and makes you rely more on teamwork. It's like defending one base, except they can get to any three of the five bomb sites, and not just the same base.
    There is a neutral bomb spawn though.

    i made a map called heli-strike, i had multiple bomb and flag spawn points, then found out it doesnt work after posting. i dont know why they give you the option of third team in those gametypes in forge.

    Nemihara, that's an interesting idea but it wouldn't work on my map.

    Corduroy, that's why I don't understand it lol.

    This doesn't apply to your question, but there is a way to make elephants not spawn. Just place a bunch of objects where they are suppose to spawn and it overloads the spawn point. Of course this doesn't always work and it is sometimes hard to "break" the elephant's spawn point.
