Download Tweezer Description: Tweezer is a spin off idea taken from my map Chalice. I deconstructed the circular platforms so that I could place more of them throughout Foundry. There are 4 circular platforms located at various heights that are the centerpieces. I tried to use all of the space that Foundry has to offer to make Tweezer feel like a very large map. The only space that is blocked off is the very back hallway connecting the two sides. You'll have to keep an eye out 360 degrees as well as above and below you. With so much vertical space, it's easy to lose track of your enemies. Radar can be confusing too, because you never know if the enemy is above or below you. The very top of the map is the sniper tower. The teleporter at the back of the center cage will take you to the sniper. The tower is right on the barrier so you will not be able to jump. That will leave you a little vunerable but you will have a clear vantage point on most of the map. Gametypes: 1. Slayer 2. Neutral Flag 3. Neutral Bomb 4. KOTH 5. Oddball 6. Territories Weapons: 1. 4 BR's 2. 1 Fuel Rod 3. 1 Shotgun 4. 1 Sniper 5. 2 SMG's 6. 2 Needler 7. 1 Sword Equipment: 1. 1 Power Drain 2. 2 Fire Grenades 3. 2 Plasma Grenades 4. 1 Bubble Shield 5. 2 Regenerator 6. 1 Flare 7. 2 Deployable Cover Download Tweezer Enjoy! Wow this is pretty awesome. I love the buildings with the shield doors. But with the sword couldnt you just camp behind the teleporter? I dunno i DL definately tho.
Excellent forging. Very good. A few things though, you need to work on you strategic placement. The map more looks like a place to screw around in. The top level would definitely rule the map. Once someone is there, they can hit anyone on the floor. The weapon placement isn't too bad either. Overall the map makes a solid... 3/5
wow, this makes foundry feel like its something bigger like ghost town...but not nearly as boring... love the aesthetics.the weapon layout feels balanced. no spawn errors so far...this must get featured! definite 10 of 10. *edit* i was thinking that the shield doors provide too much cover for the people on the top, and when you mix it with height advantage...try adding more covor to the bottom, or erasing some cover on the top to even it out...
Looks like a good map but in your post you put two of the same pictures lol. Anyways looks like a decent map and i will do a forge through, but from the pics i think u should add more cover to the bottom.
wow great symmetrical map. I love the bridges in a star form, because it is forged so evenly, Its a great challenge I have while forging. The map is great. Great map and keep forgin!
This looks like a good map dude. Very clean interlocking. Looks like a few objects could do with some shifting. I do have one question though, why is the name of the map "Tweezer"? It just doesn't seem to fit. But that doesn't really matter as this is a fairly rockin map.
Wow talking about an original map i dont really think I have seen a map with these kind of towers with the energy shields on the top of the towers nice job with this map it looks nicce
Name/Picture Thanks Monk. I fixed it. Your right, it doesn't really fit the map very well. I've just wanted to name a map Tweezer for a while now and I got tired of waiting for a map that somehow screamed the name.
all of your maps are well built, but they all tend to be somewhat childish in the fact that objects and structures arent really very playble and tend to focuz around on area of the map. this obviously is the upper level where the shotgun and fuel rod gun are. when building your maps try to either post them in casual or try to spread weapons out throughout the map to stimulate maximal map movement. im not exactly sure who posted it, but there is an incredibly helpful blog entry in somebodies sig which is an awsome guide to power weapons. it fully illustrates how power weapons can stimulate map movement and where certain objects should be placed.
Great job with the map, man. It appears completely symmetrical, and I am glad to see you cool bridge designs back in the map. I dunno if its just me, but I could see some potentially awesome KOTH / territories games play out here because I could see the bridge platforms utilized really well as hills / territories. I have no idea as to whether you did use the platforms in this way. I also really like you usage of shield doors, and how the man cannon / teleporter transport to the top of the level at the back wall. I see a lot of power weapons, but I can't judge without actually having played it. Sweet map, I downloaded.
Nice post. This map looks like Chalice and I bet it was inspired by it. The forging is really nice but some double and single boxes could be merged. It's also good that it supports a lot of gametypes. I am really confused though that you did not put any frags. Good job.
Childish After studying the demographics of Forgehub, my market research shows that the majority of FH members are, in fact, children(or at least childish). This map is for them. KOTH is definitely set up just the way you described it. Each platform has a circular hill. It's great for games of Crazy King. I've been noticing that too many frags on a map is overkill. As long as you have a few people in the party there are always many frags lying around from dead bodies, so I decided not to add any extra to Tweezer, especially because it would be easy for people on the top to launch endless grenades onto victims below.
I dont know too much about this map. It just doesnt look too interesting. It doesnt look like it has any originality too it and I think it could be improved in the aesthetic portion of it. Im not trying to make you mad but this is my opinion of course.
Crushed I am too mad to respond intelligently to your post. You and your opinion have crushed my soul. I'm headed under my bed now, to weep.
