Here's a little preview of a map I'm almost done with. It's a small map for small FFA groups or possibly a 2v2v2. Right now it is set for Slayer, KotH, and Oddball. The map has an additional gimmick: Every minute, the light in the center of the map will change colors from green to yellow and finally to red to indicate that bombs are about to drop. If you are up on the walkways or one of the three corner structures when the bombs drop, you will be killed or at least injured by falling power cores. I've currently tested only 1v1s on here and have changed some geography and hill placement based on the tests. I'll be getting more tests soon and will add more pictures as well. And I apologize for the low quality of the pics. I'll record a vid and capture shots from the computer next time. The map is basically 3 sections around a central room. The 3 sections each has its own theme (rock/palm tree, stone/dead trees/pyramids, and forerunner/pine trees. Each section has a structure that you can use to reach the elevated walkway. You can also reach the walkway through man-cannons from the central room or by a few difficult crouch-jumps for experienced players. Each section also has a perimeter corridor that leads to the other two sections. This picture shows the power cores exploding around the elevated walkway and the corner structures. The map has a brute shot up high at each of the corner structures and a BR down low. There are also shotguns at the perimeter of the map where you go from one section to another. There are silenced SMGs, brute plasma rifles, an AR, a sniper, and a sentinel beam at other locations on the map. Here are some pics from a recent test. I was involved in a fight and and lost track of the warning lights. Suddenly I saw the shadows above me.... I knew right away I was in trouble... My opponent was able to get away but I was not so lucky. Finally, I'm still deciding what should be placed at the center of the map. I've been using an Overshield, and that works pretty well. The cool thing is you can hear someone picking it up. I'm also considering replacing it with Rockets.
