____________________Hello, Forge Hub community. My name is Jester, and today I am making my second contribution to the Forge Hub. For a while now I have been wanting to make a small, one v one map using interlocking and other techniques. Today I sat down on my couch, and spent a good four hours creating Tributary. Tributary is a very small, 1v1 or 2v2 slayer map. The map is symmetrical, with two identical bases with a stream running down the middle. I was going for a Vientnamish look with this map, an I feel I did fairly well. Weapons are relatively scarce on Tributary. AR ammo and a frag grenade can be found in the bases. SMGs are present on the paths down from the base. A shotgun with no extra ammo is sitting on the central bridge, just begging to pwn faces. BRs can be found on two corner platforms along with a few fusion coils; ouch. Firebomb grenades are placed underneath the two stacks of barrels. Two plasma grenades and a power drain can be found in the stream. I recommend Tributary for 1v1 or 2v2 slayer or CTF matches. I recommend setting the flag reset timer to instantaneous for CTF matches. An overview of the map. Watch out for grenades. Grab the flag and GO! Well hi there! The shotgun is devastatingly powerful. The home stretch. Grenade in perspective. "Go on without me!" Death from above. *Jaws Theme* Download Today! DOWNLOAD Tributary (omg my map is leet it owns noobz dwnld now!)
Great in aesthetics, I'll download. I love the hill effect with double boxes, it almost always sells me.
Very nice interlocking, but a pic from way out showing the whole map would really show it alot better. By the way, nice closeup on that grenade.
The map from what i can see looks awesome great interlocking i wish you would put up a screenshot that is a better overview though. And i know that is hard with such a small map but w/e
Not to be skeptical, but when you say "the shotgun is devastatingly powerful". Do you mean powerful enough to overthrow the other team? If so, that is a major design flaw. Also it looks like CTF would have very quick captures. Which would probably bore people and draw them away from your map. But to tell you the truth I really love the map. It really feels like a tilted map or even a mountain. Great job, and keep on forgin'.
hey nice map it llooks like it would play well but, i think it has a lack of cover but thats all i got for it so ill dl
The first pic really grabbed me, I like the visual style you've achieved, kinda reminds me of Banjo Kazooie on N64, good times... Really good interlocking and I always love maps that use the undersides of double boxes well. You got my DL 2nd map and 14 posts, I'm seeing alot of good maps that show skill at forging from junior members now and it shows how much forge is coming into its own now, lotsa people getting good, fast.
