Im curios to see this version you made. Would you recommend it to me plz. There is most likely going to be another game based on the new flash game.
Well I looked at your version and no offense but it sucks. Because the middle trench is raised, the sniper class is basically the worst class now because it can not shoot across the entire map. The machine gunners are overpowered now because the sniper dudes cant shoot them. So the machine gunners can easily make it to last trench and rape. I guess the assault class and the stealth class would still be good. And, the forging isnt all that good. I realize there is no morphing in Trench Wars, but there really wasnt a spot that required it. on your version, there is very simple morphing and I can at least do that. Also, that top trench is horribly crooked and it does no good for the look of the map. I can even say myself my version doesn't exactly look that good, and yours just makes it worse. I also fegure out that the only reason you deleted the floor on parts was because you needed more objects. So you made up the excuse of a metior hitting it or something like that. The floor just takes away more area for combat. Thats my revue on your version. If you want to explain to me otherwise feel free to do so.
Heh. Well I haven't seen the hill version, so I can't talk, but in case no one knew, there is a confirmed sequel to this map. Chris, if you don't want this told yet, I'll edit the post and take it out, but I figure it's time for people to know what's in the works. This new version of TrenchWars is interlocked, and features new spawn rooms. And if you think I actually interlocked, think again. This was all Zombie Kitty here. Plus, we will more than likely be making a 1944 map, to go along with the new flash game, out now, so stay tuned!
Well like I said I'm not the best forger, I did warn you about that, why do you think I don't post on forge hub anyways. The sniper class is not all bad though, if your team is holding the hill the sniper can hold the enemy back. Plus they'll be exposed to enemy fire to be able to snipe. The Sniper also can hold back the machine gunner, from their last trench. The machine gun class still isn't overpowered. Try a even team game on it. Anyways like I said the map was to give a kind of idea for future updates or anything. Cause playing on the flat surface was kind of boring after awhile. So yea it was just a suggestion.
Well to clarify a bit, this version is not going to be released for a while. There are some problems with the spawn rooms needed to be changed. Although, I will not have much time to forge it for a while. School = Busy
+ Original and innovative gameplay for territories + Class system works great + Nothing is overpowering making the game fun for everyone (unless they really suck at halo) + Blocking the lasers light was a simple yet amazing idea - Slightly repetitive gameplay Great game you guys made, this is one of those maps/gametypes that you just cant delete, keep up the good work! Score: 8.5/10
I dont exactly get what you mean by that? As this map is meant to be pretty much epic and unpredictable. I noticed that you went through and noob bumped a whole bunch of maps. I appreciate your post but next time please go into a little more detail.
Man, I have actually never seen a map I've wanted to play so much! I'll so DL this when my brother gets off GH:Metallica; I'll bookmark it for later This could really go down well in my History class 'cause we just finished WWI Teacher - "So, what have you learned about World War One?" Me - "I know there was a Halo 3 map about it..." The aesthetics aren't important on this because if it really is revolving around trench warfare (not the map), then wouldn't the ground be bumpy (Woah, nice understatement) anyway? Also, how long does it take for the banshee to respawn after being destroyed? Ftw map, really Wait, wait, wait... Could you tell me one thing? What is drop spawning? Like actually, what does it do?
Well, thanks for the compliments! 1.The Banshee respawns every minute. 2.Drop-spawning works like this: Regularly, weapons don't respawn until they are moved. Example: Bob picks up a sniper rifle. The resawn timer begins, and the sniper respawns 30 seconds later, right? No. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but it is not just 30 seconds. It will be much longer before bob's sniper respawns. Drop-spawning, means that the gun spawns in the air and falls, so the timer stars automatically. This means if I drop-spawn an assualt rifle, it will continually spawn every 10 seconds even if bob dosn't pick it up.
+ looks and sounds like a great map! a few suggestions would be to add more astetics and maybe more interesting gameplay events i.e. airstrikes that could be activated by either team and rain hell on the opposite side of the map. But anyways, ill give it a dl and try it out!
