Looks very fun indeed, already in anticipation of variant styles of this perhaps have a a steady slope on either side a stretched out V shape. Could offer some fun frag throws into trenches.
A wraith would be good if it doesnt reach the other spawn and cant move, Would sorta be like artillery, Maybe have it so they cant see where there firing so have to ask their team where to aim lol or have some markers to help or something. I like the middle trench being shallower because it makes it harder to control and maintain control. I thought it was well balanced but didnt see how far the falcon could fly. Maybe having a safe zone cover the map and a bit to the side and upwards? Foxholes will be cool especially for escaping fire. 1 sniper is balanced enough. Is it possible to have a win condition if you take all trenches? or make it so you have to take the trenches 1 by 1 in order?
Can't wait to try this out with some friends it looks like a great map! The Rocket Hog looks like a lot of fun, and was a much better choice than the gauss. Also the trenches look perfectly made, and in my opinion have just the right amount of cover. The map may look simple, but it is very cleany forged. Thanks guys, The foxhole idea didn't really work out ( ) because it created the texture flickering thingy, and I thought that it was really annoying. For the wraith to be useful at all, I would need to make it on a higher platform (without it you would need to aim high in the air and you wouldn't be able to see where your shooting at). It wouldn't be anti-air, and you couldn't hit some people when they got closer. Thanks guys
Played this with friends and they loved it. The only problem I had was with frame rate. Does anyone else have this problem? Also, the rocket hog is not that overpowered and is really only useful when people are on your side of the middle trench so it's perfect.
Really fun, and such a simple concept. It usually works that way I guess. We played this a few times with full teams in my custom games group and it was pretty awesome. We thought the snipers overpowered abit. Maybe make them spawn later with limited ammo, and give the teams focus rifles early. Also some small amount of cover like small human barricades would be cool too. All in all kickass map. MRX
I think that adding a multi-flag variant would be pretty fun. i assume that the flag carrier would need more speed in order to survive very long. or maybe no flag reset to make it more of a tug of war type struggle.
