Remake Treebox

    Ok, now that that's out of the way, welcome to Treebox (aka. Greenhouse, still working on a name). As you may have guessed, this map is yet another remake. I chose Sandbox this time, simply because it hadn't been done yet. I have made sure to include many features in this map, including making it compatible with Elites as well as most gametypes.

    As the community of Forgehub is all too familiar with this map, I won't bother explaining the layout. It's default Sandbox, just greener.

    *Note: When playing, please replace the jetpack loadout with Evade, as jet pack and drop shield are already on the map.
    *The map is Elite friendly.
    *The map is setup for variants of Slayer, Oddball, CTF, KOTH, Juggernaut, Infection and Assault.

    A few noteworthy things:
    *When playing slayer, it may be best to replace the jet pack loadout with evade, as both jet pack and dropshield spawn on the map.
    *The map is Elite-friendly

    hm....very decent but i don't like you'r landscape positioning because of the hills and also it looks badly out of proportion as in the bases look REALLY FAR APART but the weapon choice makes up for a partial credit overall i don't like it much but your main bases are awesome

    I chose the landscape because I didn't want everything to be completely flat like the original, and for the terrain to have some variety.

    Perhaps it was the view that I chose, but the bases really aren't that far apart.

    The scale and proportions seem about the same, at least to me. The bases are the perfect size, and they are literally less than 10 seconds walking distance apart. My overview may be making it look bigger than it really is.

    It looks to me like the the Red base is farther from the middle structure than the Blue base.

    It is, but it's negligible in gameplay.

    I'll give you props for a solid looking remake - even thought Sandbox wasn't among my favorites. Nevertheless, still a pretty good replica, minus a few geographical errors. One thing I don't like though is the coliseum wall on the one side. Sandbox is an open map and I think this map should be too. If you removed the wall thats blocking the one side and instead put a Soft Kill boundary around the map, that would reproduce the laser towers in the original.

    i would like to reiterate what madcow said. Walls just dont fit this map. Soft kill boundaries are the way to go.
    Also, I think you should consider replacing some of the armor effects with weapons. I know they are meant to replicate the original map, but I think with armor effects being in loadouts for reach, they don't work as well with the gameplay.
    Otherwise good remake

    Well this is probably the best remake of sandbox mainly because it's the only remake I've seen. But all jokes aside it does look very good, I love your creative use of the struts to make the bases, not only is it effective but it also looks very aesthetically pleasing. The weapon pallet you choose was genius and perfect in every way. In response to the members above me, I would have to agree I suggest a single soft safe zone around your map to make it easier for you (that way you won't have to have a bunch of soft killzones all over the place).

    Well, what would you suggest for the weapons? I Think I will keep the drop shield, and maybe replace the jet pack with something. I'm also considering adding snipers to this map, though it may be a tad small for that.

    The simple solution is to simply play classic gametypes.
