you all will laugh at me for this but i only like him because hes in my favorite band sooooooooooooo........................ Thom Yorke of radiohead,

I don't really have a list, but its surprising no one listed Joe Walsh! I am sure someone listened to one of many hits he has written. -"Life's been good (to me so far)" -"Funk 49"...someone on FH has to have heard that song besides me. -"Rocky mountain way" ...etc Here is some info about Joe Walsh from what I believe is true...Joe has recieved a talk box from a company and perfected it and used it in some of his songs, then taught Peter Frampton how to use a talk box (which is gay because he never gave Walsh any credit for teaching him) and so Frampton is famous for what Walsh has taught him. I heard this from the worlds biggest Joe Walsh fan to lulz.
Eric Clapton-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYS732zyYfU&feature=related such great guitaring (is that a word?) Jimmy Hendrix Tom Morello
Dunno about the order, but my 5 would have to be: -Slash- He just has tone, and can do more beautiful things to the sound of the guitar with just his fingers than anyone else -Steve Morse (Deep Purple) - This guy just blows my mind, shredding with real tune and variation to it. -Peter Lindgren (Opeth) - Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) These guys aren't the fastest of guitarists, but keep surprising me with how pretty guitar can be contrasted with equally awesome metal sections. -Jerry Reed- My favourite country guitarist, his picking is perfect, I wish I could play like that.
Dude, I just noticed this I disagree with this, but its fair enough. However If you agree that Herman Li is laughable, how can you take the Batio seriously? He's a walking showpiece dude, sorry to say it.
The guy is an amazing guitar player. Anybody is better than Herman Li. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG74eVb6V10
Dude I've seen it. He's skillful, incredibly so, much more than Herman Li (who is still pretty damn skillful and fast, just not a 4-neck guitar kinda skill like MAB) But the problem with them both is that they're all about the show, they've completely lost sight of the fact that music is supposed to sound good and do stuff for to impress. MAB is probably more guilty of this, with his whole "I can play 4 guitars at once" routine.
Michael Angelo is a very good guitar player, but even if he's in it for the show, he's still better than Herman Ree, I mean, everything in that band is pedals, pedals, pedals, distortion!!!1!11one!!. The only thing I could credit him for is probably the mario noises he can play on the Ibanez, but that's about it. And for the Record Dimebag is better than both.
The pedals thing is a fair point, the dude needs to chill and keep at least a shadow of the sound that actually comes out of his guitar, he's gone MIDI crazy, but its just cause he loves computer game music. As far as I'm concerned, Li and MAB are birds of a feather, even though MAB is better in many ways, I don't see how you can love one and hate the other. Yes, and yes. The mario noises are pretty cool, but nothing amazing for actual music, buy a synth for gods sake. And Dimebag is better than both, no argument there. Oh and Mort, have you seen or heard Steve Morse? He's something special, even though his solo work is a bit patchy, when its good its really good.
Yeh, the one who came in after Blackmore, he's been in Dixie Dregs and was in Kansas for a little while as well, amongst other things.
