Tom ClancyHello everybody, I have been looking at the threads and I noticed that there wern't any threads about Tom Clancy. I just thought that it might be nice to start one about him because he is a big part of the gaming community and has made many great books that have been turned into games for the X-box. He is a very dedicated writer and is very important to the game community. Almost every book he writes turns into a game in the long run and every one of them has very good war tactics and gameplay. To give you an example of some of the great books that have turned into games he has wrote over the many years of being a writer: GAMES Splinter Cell The Ghost Recon Games End War H.A.W.X Rainbow Six games BOOKS The hunt for Red October Without Remorse Patriot Games Clear and Present Danger The Sum of All Fears Now that you have read what I have to say about Tom Clancy, post your thoughts on him and tell your favorite book or game from him.
What are you talking about? He doesn't make games, he is an author. Ubi makes all of the games, they just purchased his name for use in their games titles.
Man, thats what I basically mean, he creates the basic design of the game, without him, there wouldn't be the game itself
No, they don't steal anything, he probally sells them the idea and name, and if they stole them, he wouldn't be famous. Now quit trying to make an argument and post what you like and dislike about him, not if they steal his stuff
Okay, he basically writes the story, and thats it, and from judging from my experience of playing Tom Clancy games, the story never seems to be the main focus. BUT, they do not steal the stories, they bought the right to his name, so Ubi can use his stories in their games.
I think you should edit the OP, so you don't give people false information. And I'm going to throw this out, his books are much better than the games.
