Well heres my first map I'm publishing for Halo reach and my first map in forge since early 2009. Some of you who have played unreal tournement 3 may recognise the tower from the map Suspense. Originally I had planned to remake the enitre of suspense without actually stopping to think how big it was and the amount of objects and budget that would be needed to make an accurate remake of it. After it became apparant that remaking suspense was too big of an undertaking, I decided to go ahead with the map purely to try to remake the aesthetics of one of the towers on the bridge and so came along Toll booth. Toll booth was originally made for just aesthetics but I decided to make it playable as well, with the setting of the attackers having to get from a highway tunnel emerging from the mountain to the other side of the bridge where the highway tunnel continues. The attackers spawn in the tunnel with a scorpian, a warthog and a falcon and the defenders spawn on the other side with nothing but a some limited anti vehicle weapons as well as the cover of the tower itself. Invasion is also supported in this map, in the little testing I was able to do (with my guests) it played pretty well, however I still consider this more an aesthetic map over a playable map. For invasion in phase one the attacking team (who are spartans/red team) spawn in the tunnel or the roadside maintenance booth and push up to just before the bunker with the turret which they must capture as objective one. For Phase two a single fireteam will be allowed to spawn at the bunker where the first objective stood. The second objective is on the tower itself, positioned on the walkway connecting the two sides of the arched tower together. After they capture objective two the core will spawn directly below the walkway and the final objective is to carry it back to the roadside maintenance booth. Phase one weapons (on map)- A DMR in the attackers tunnel and the roadside maintenance booth, as well as another DMR at the bunker where the first objective is. There is also a needle rifle directly outside the defenders tunnel. There is also a sniper rifle on top of the tower however it is only accessable to players with jetpacks as only they can reach the top of the tower. Phase two vehicles and weapons (on map)- A grenade launcher has spawned below the tower and a warthog has spawned in the attackers tunnel. Phase three vehcles and weapons (on map)- Both a tank and a hornet spawn in the attackers tunnel. With phase three comes the ability to use jetpacks so those with jetpacks can now reach the top of the tower to grab the sniper rifle and provide fire from a good vantage point. To combat the new vehicles a rocket launcher now spawns on the walkway on the tower where objective two once stood. *Note the only way to get to here and the floor above is by jetpack* *Note to play invasion the spartans/red team have to be the attackers* *Note since this is an aesthetic map I dont really care how it plays, if it plays bad for you well then tough. In the few play tests I did it played okay but was pretty fun to play on which is fine since to me its purely for aesthetics*
