Map Name: Tightrope Players: 2-8 Gametypes: Slayer, KOTH, Capture the Flag (might want to set scoring to flag at home for CTF) My gamertag: mr see This will be #2 of the 3 maps I'm posting for now. Moonroof is already up and Overbudget will be up later today. Tightrope is supposed to be a CQC map -- there are a few places to hide but for the most part you'll be spawning and dying, especially when playing with 8 players. There's a healthy dose of grenades on the map as well as a rocket launcher on the 'tightrope' (made of 5x1 blocks) that connects the red base to the blue base high above the action. The map is mostly one level, but the elevated bases combined with the ability to ascend the base roofs and traverse the tightrope, as well as being able to reach the top of the station pieces off to the side and the curved walls in the center of the map makes for some fun multi-tiered combat in very confined areas. it's hard to live more than a few seconds when playing KOTH, especially if you actually try to go for the hill. There are a few places to fall off the map, but I protected the edges I wanted to leaving just a few penalties for not watching where you're going. All in all it was a pretty fast build, not much to tell about the construction process except that it was originally intended to be a lot smaller but after a quick test there was too much death without a little extra room so I added the side elements and elevated the red and blue bases. The 'tightrope' was the last piece to make it in the map and I thought it was appropriate enough to name it that. Anway, pretty fast and crazy action on this map and perfect if you're looking to have a 'jump in and die' kinda day. Enjoy.
