Ok this is the first map in my infection series.This is a fun map which is fun for the zombies also. The gametype makes the humans slightly stronger then the zombies but they are slower then the zombies. The gametype also lets the zombies ABLE to pick up weapons. The armoury is there because the humans get magnums and zombies start out with energy swords and if looking for the sniper you cant ge it till 150seconds into the game because thats when the stairs spawn. There aren't many power weapons just a couple shotguns and 2 sniper rifles but the rest are mostly smgs assault rifles or brs the brs have 2 grenades beside them but thats only in the base. there are 4 firebomb grenades on this map and respawn every 30 seconds.The zombies can pickup weapons because its more fair that way. Zombies have normal sheilds and arent set to instant kill. The humans have normal sheilds but more damage resisistence and faster recharge times. Storyline: The City of Talbum was once a peaceful city, but then the infection rose from 200 years of being gone and are now trying to destroy the city of Talbum. The Zombies have reached the gates of Talbum you must fight alongside your comrads for survival. Can you survive? Here are some screenshots: an overview of the inside base. An overview outside the base (this is where the humans spawn). Hmm... i wonder why the cops dont want you over there. This is the armory where the humans (and zombies may pickup weapons). This is the top of the wall where the turrets are. The zombies have destroyed the blocked entrance! Get ready for combat! Well I hope you like the map. There are 5 rounds zombies move at 150% speed and 150% gravity humans move at 125% speed and 150% grav Also I dont want any of that "needs more interlocking" ****. Sorry for the language Bye. The idea sounds okay, but armories usually arent a good idea... also can the zombies pick up guns? because if they can then it seem like it would be very hard for the humans to survive for very long. Another thing could you maybe post a weapon list or something or at least just tell me the weapons.
i dont think armories are fair or fun in infection maps. also, zombies are supposed to be kind of defenceless to humans so the weapon pick up isnt that great of an idea. but the map looks alright. 3.5/5. -.5 for armory, but you can always change the gametype.
maybe you shouldn't let the zombies pick up weapons unless you want different teams starting with different weapons. since the zombies can pick up weapons at the armoury, that would let the humans survive for about a few seconds...
Interesting idea, letting zombies pick up weapons...I always thought zombies would be better suited with shotguns as opposed to swords. I'll be interested to see how this plays out, I'm working on a map atm that inherently lets zombies pick up weapons. Good aesthetics, I would ditch the armory and use strategic weapon placement. Well I have said i havent tested this yet and i didnt know where infection/competitive maps go well the zombies can pickup weapons but do lower damage and the humans will probaly get the good weapons before the zombies. The armoury is there because you start out with magnums and zombies get energy sword. do the math magnum vs energy sword= o crap! The zombies can pickup up weapons because it is more realistic this way and more fair to zombies and the zombies sheilds recharge slower. both humans and zombies dont hae instant kill so that is why its more fair, and yes i will be adding a weapon list soon. i dont know if i have mentioned this but the only to power weapons on map are shotguns and sniper rifles. And there is not unlimited ammo.
looks kinda sloppy and open. picture #2 shows a lot of open space, and open areas is bad for infection... and an armory is always bad, because then all humans get big weapons or more ammo, and can unload on zombies all day
this looks playin to me and needs interlocking the amory needs to go and zombies shouldnt pic up weapons 2/5
the zombies should not be able to pick up weapons that is the whole point of this infection gametype. the map is good though it would be better with out the armory. ill have to give 2 ratings MAP: 4.75/5.00 GAMETYPE: 2.00/5.00
Zombies that can pick up weapons on this map is a bad idea, wat if they get the sniper? also there is alot of turrets and they could just use one of those
Armories are a no-no in infection! Other than that, the layout is pretty good... Did you by any chance happen to use any interlocking? (Weather you did or not, i don't care because i don think that great maps NEED to be interlocked. Its still nice to see some though!) 3/5 for the layout... Keep forging!
The map looks good, but you should really think about interlocking and geo-merging it. It makes it look clean, feel clean, and feel smooth. It can make gameplay better. Back too your map, the design looks pretty fun, but i am not fond of the armory.
