So I've finally got around to working on There's no F in Way for the first time in a long time and it's most of the way done. I still need to try and squeeze a little more detail in there but for the most part it's ready to go. I haven't had a chance to play test it and I'd really like to consider swapping a weapon or two for one of their variants, but with ammo counts being of critical importance on this micro map, I won't be able to try anything until the ammo count bug is fixed. Here is a preview of the map. If you weren't one of the many who played the original I have included some media for comparison. There's no F in Way is strictly a 1v1 but we always preferred to play it in larger groups for the sake of the ridiculous mayhem. It's a great little map to play when you only have a few minutes to kill. The original Reach map and many others can be found under my profile. Bookmark Here's a quick clip of the original so you can get a better look at the layout of this frantically microscopic map.
I forgot to mention that, due to the tiny size of this map, it's best to adjust the respawn timer to "instant" in the game options. It gives an unfair advantage to the other player if you give them 8 seconds before you respawn on death. Plus it can be boring for the other player if there's only 2 of you and they're already prepared.
Update: The bookmark has been updated to reflect the current and future link. So it's only taken me a few months to figure out that my whole issue with updating thumbnails/screenshots has been because 343 randomly decided to properly instate Microsofts global screenshot privacy policy onto Halo 5. This would have been nice to know ages ago. How about instead of giving "Screenshot upload failed. Please refresh the page and try attaching screenshots again." you give something useful like, Screenshot upload failed due to your clips and screenshots privacy policy setting. To enable clips and screenshots please set clips and screenshots to "everyone on the internet." I really hope they fix file renaming so I don't have to update the links for my older files. I'm tired of renaming these bloody maps every time I open them in Forge, let alone when I actually save something. The only reason the maps are named incorrectly in the first place is because of previous lack of privacy and the constant file save issues.
Update: Tweaked the lighting, started cleaning out some of the unnecessary objects, added and adjusted textures/objects, added intro and outro. Either my outro isn't working quite right or the game doesn't want to display my character if there isn't another player in the game. It anyone gets a match in, please let me now if it's working or not. I'm a little irritated that when they did the last update they changed the pallet object. I liked that it had a proper texture on it. The supply crates still have the texture on them but you have to merge to hide all of the cargo strapped to the other side. They should have just added a new object instead of dramatically dumbing down the old one.
