Currently on my first play through of tw3, such a good game. I had tw2 but I never really got into it, but every time I start playing Witcher 3 I feel like I need to lock myself in my room for a month and sit there and become Geralt. I got the full game with both DLC's, super stoked to get there. Dae want gertal to bang his daughter chick?
Absolutely love it. I'm 130 hours in and lvl 26 I think. Also with both DLC's. Brilliant game. Never played a Witcher game before but I'm really impressed with the vastness, the detail, the atmosphere. And the Eastern European mythology is much more macabre than what you use to see in games like this. A few bugs here and there but nothing game breaking. I believe the Gwent game is coming soon to consoles.
The more I play this game the less I want to live in this universe ahaha I just want to live in the witcher. Every time I get off you get that feeling you get after finishing your favorite book series for the first time and your life is depressing for like the next 6 hours
HOW ARE YOU 130 HOURS IN AND LEVEL 26????? I'm 140 hours in and on Blood and Wine and am Level 42. Blood and Wine is truly beaut when you get to it. So much colour and vibrance ahhhh. Really different vibe to Velen and Skellige. The best comparison I have is the leap from the original Borderlands to Borderlands 2. And I agree there's something about the game which is just so right. The open world has a certain density to it that I don't think I've ever really experienced before. When the last of the books gets translated this year I'll probably go ahead and try and find a set.
What's crazy is that I don't think even think the actual physical world is that interesting next to games like skyrim, which is crazy mountains and dungeons everywhere and castles. Tw3 is pretty bland and feels like an endless forest, but the game is so believable in terms of visuals and content and voice acting and depth that it's just way more fun
Haha well I just wander a lot. I never fast travelled until lvl 20 or so to get to know the world a bit. I play every quest that I can find but not back to back like a robot, this world is distracting and that's awesome. I never felt more part of a bigger whole than this game. Like RDR or GTA, half my playtime is fooling around, discovering stuff and sometimes just sitting there watching the sun go down.
I feel you on the wandering part. In Blood and Wine before I did anything I just went around and explored the whole region ahaha.
I do that with all new regions. Very excited to see that other city and environment btw. Looks fantastic.
Now I wanna play Witcher again... RIght near the end of the main storyline and I'm just stuck. Don't feel like running around rounding all my allies up.
I noticed this phenomena also, rolling hills is more realistic as appose to sharp peaks. TW3 peaked for me on the 3 whitches arch and after that i slowly lost interest, eventualy stopping when i got to the snowy island TW isn't a role playing game in the sence that you get to choose the role you play as. You just get to step into the shoes of this character who you may or may not take a liking to. I would have rather stepped into this beautifull world as a prisoner with no name, and i could explore the world and choose what i want to do and what lore i want to persue... My character would grow along side me and would be a relfection of how i would act in any given situation. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 2, 2017 --- I noticed this phenomena also, rolling hills is more realistic as appose to sharp peaks. I for one liked the fact that this character had an infamous and richer history than most 'heroes' you play with. Pretty interesting to me. Feels bigger, more depth. But then again I'm not a real RPG guy. I just wanna see some heads roll while exploring. Not really interested in his build and all that. I do liked the star signs in Skyrim with experience but that clunky fighting system was awful. Tossed it aside at lvl 16 or so.
I absolutely understand that but it was not for me honestly, I felt useless with my melee weapons and that is something that The Witcher does far better. Maybe just hack n slash for some but that's enough for me. Now I think of it there were more things about Skyrim that bothered me. I found the same voice actor about 5 times lol. So bad. And the fact I fell in a dungeon in the snow somewhere where I couldn't get out of but must go through it at a low level. Felt like legendary with 4 skulls on, motherfucker. I cursed the **** out of the game and after a google search I had to start over waaay back on a save somewhere. Talk about a bad start.
What's everyone's thoughts on Yen vs Triss. I think triss is much nicer, and yen is kinda bitchy. The guys on the witcher forums who have read the books seen to prefer Yen given both girls historys, but I don't know a whole lot about that
This game is awesome https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/5xc1ep/i_cant_believe_the_level_of_detail_present_in_the/
I'm not that far in the story but I romanced both. Was that wicked of me? I feel there's a history with both of them but I just wanted to see if it was possible. They will probably find out and I will be all alone. And sad. At least I have plenty coin for the brothels.
I'm still on my first play through but I know what happens if you romance both. You've got it coming man ahaha
I like Triss because she's in 1 & 2 and so she's had a lot of screentime pre TW3, even if Yen is more prevalent in TW3. + Your relationship with Triss pisses Yen off so much it's hilarious. Yen is super fun to antagonise. Some of the **** that happens from it at Kaer Morhen is priceless. Also I'm pretty sure I warned Multi off the double romance option in WAYWO bc reasons. Enjoy the results ahahahah
