The Wastes 2.0 - Created by: Final_Assassin_42 - Abandoned at the start of the Covenant War, UNSC Outpost 97X4 has been re-purposed for the Spartan IV Project. 8-12 Players. ------------------------------------------------ The Wastes 2.0 is the modified version of my original map, The Wastes. Here's the link to the original version's thread. It is designed primarily as a Slayer-oriented map. It can be modified to serve as an Objective gametype, without much difficulty. Just a heads up though if you plan on modifying it; I hit the object cap on the map, so you'll need to delete some content to add the Objective Spawns/Respawns. Side structures added to bases. Maulers spawn inside. Old Center Structure New Center Structure Modifications from V.1: -Size minimized to accommodate the new location of the Fins. -Bubble Shield spawns inside the structure. -Rockets moved to the top of the Hutch; Laser now spawns in the center. The Sniper Tower; V.1/V.2 The tubes on the sides have man cannons that propel the player up on top of the tower. I figured that they would be harder to camp than a ramp, since the player would come flying out, rather than just walking. Sniper Tower; Rear View Modifications from V.1: -Fusion coils relocated along the sides of the walls. This allows players below the tower to make it easier to kill inattentive snipers/finish opponents. -Fusion coils placed inside the tubes to prevent camping them. Sniper Tube Interiors; Now With More Boom. The Hutch; Exterior View The OS spawns here, and the Rockets have been relocated on top of the Hutch. The Hutch Interior; V.1 The Hutch; Interior V.2 Modifications from V.1: -Rockets now spawn on top of the hutch. -Fusion coils moved to the sides of the entrances to prevent camping. The Fins These were added for aesthetic purposes. They contain Regenerators/Plasma Grenades (on the left side of the map), and Power Drainers/Frag Grenades (right side of the map). Changes from V.1 -Fins have been moved closer to the center of the map. -They now contain Regens/Power Drainers and Frags/Plasma Grenades. ---------------------------------------------------- Map Linkage The Wastes 2.0 Hope you guys find it better than the original.
Looks pretty good from what I can see. Looks better than v1, though you should add some more cover near the bases. 3.5/5
