The USG Ishimura... No DLC required ======================== "So this ship has been sending out distress signals?" "Yes. Our job is to find out what the hell is going on and report back to the captain." "Okay." Your team has taken a small shuttle to the Ishimura's docking port, the hatches open wide as you dock the shuttle. A small hallway leads you to a decompression chamber, and already you can tell something is wrong. Where are all the people? They must be here somewhere... Right? It appears someone has jammed the door shut, the decompressing finishes and there is a large storage crate blocking your path. You move it, slowly, out of the way. Just then, you hear noises coming from the vents, they sound like feet but its hard to tell... Just then, you hear a large explosion behind you! "The shuttle!" Yells the leader. It is gone, and with it, your hope for survival. Necromorphs swarm around you and your fellow man and start to slice at you! You shoot them again and again, and finally you are safe for the moment. Your leader is dead, gone the way of the necromorphs... and soon... you will too. You start running down a large hallway, and then another, and another and finally you reach the communications facility. There is a large moniter with a red screen, signalling it is not connected or is corrupt. The control panel is inoporable, but next to it you see a plasma cutter. You chose weather or not to take it, and see that the way out of the room is barricaded with crates, just like the airlock. "Someone must have done this... Is there any other survivors?" After pushing your way through the barricade, you treck down another few hallways until you reach an airlock. More crates... odd. The necromorphs start to swarm again, many get a hit off at you, but you manage to survive. You quickly push the crates out of the way, and notice the air has changed! You will die! In all your haste you forgot to bring your air canister!!! You dart down the short hallway and soon reach a safe zone... barely. You grab a medkit and rush upstairs to see if the survivor who set the barricades is still alive... and you find yourself in a large room... most of the ceiling is destroyed... ammo is scattered in the corner, next to a dead body... written in blood on the wall, it says: Abandon all hope There is no escape ======================== It's a medium sized infection map... and awesome! I can't take 100% of the credit for making this map, I had a lot of help from my friend: aMasterCaboose The zombie's have a teleporter hub system that takes some getting used to... but the flow is amazing once you get the hang of it. The teleporters in the spawn room are labeled: 1 Plasma grenade (goes to human's spawn room, the decompression chamber) 2 Plasma grenades (goes to vents, right above the narrow hallways after the first room) 3 Plasma grenades (goes to vents, toward's the end of the level/ map. from there you can go to the hallways after the airlock) 4 Plasma grenades (goes right above the airlock, letting you choose how to get inside) Framed Teleporter (goes to communications facility platform high above the ground. It's safe to drop down though... and also, behind you there is a crack in the wall that lets you get to the human's final room... hehehe....) Human's goal is to survive 10 minutes... simple, right? wrong. There is limited ammo and the only safe holdout spot is at the very end. Human's take about 6-7 shots to kill (without sword to sword mirror hits). They have no sheilds, only a health bar. They rely on medkits to survive, which are seldom... im just evil like that Because nothing recharges. They are stuck at that health until they find that precious medkit. ======================== Video: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. ======================== Okay, onto the 40 or so pictures Let's Start with the human spawns: (The Small Ship) Extension hallway (leads to decompression chamber): The Decompression chamber: The Decompression chamber (Second view): Move the crates as you progress through the map: Example: After the door is open, run through the corrupted air (Soft kill zone) to the lobby: Then run down the hallways once you catch your barrings: More hallways: Side doorway to bathroom: The toilet: The communications room: The control panel: Health station / Second barricaded doorway: Hallway after the barricade: Hallway continued: Airlock: Airlock (view 2): Weapons drop (In airlock): Outside looking in: Third barricade (In airlock) and hallway after it: (There is a soft kill zone after that one, so make sure you have 10 seconds to run down the hallway) The hallway continued: Some health and a large holdout point / end of map: Up the stairs?: Upstairs leads to some weapons: Necromorphs can get through the broken up ceiling: Necromorphs have a nice little area they spawn in. It is a hub. From there, they can go to 5 different places in the map... I mentioned they are labeled, but i added a nice little chart: 1 goes here (the decompression chamber): 2 goes here (the vents above the large hallway that comes after the decompression chamber): Vents continued: Go through the teleporter at the end of the vents... And end up here, a nice little surprise attack vent: 3 goes here, the vents by the end of the level: 4 goes here, the top of the airlock: With some vents on the sides of the hallway, and a large window you can jump in: And finally, the Framed teleporter leads you to the communications room: With a crack in the wall behind it, that leads to the final room in the map (a nice way to ambush the survivors): AND FINALLY assasinations are the easiest way to kill survivors... sooooo here are some nice shots of necromorphs totally pwning humans: Enjoy the map guys!! I'm open to constructive critisizm!! Try to survive... Hehehe...
I like how you used the flag segment of the tin-cup to make the scanning beam (Or atleast I think that is what it is).
This is a pretty creative map, and a good one needless to say. Your aesthitcs are pretty good, the laser beam thing being the coolest. Why use plasma grenades?? Might I suggest cones or something else that stands out well. But other then that your map is good.
I Have been waiting for someone to make a good dead space map for literally ages. This map looks like it captures the feel of the Ishismura. The gametype also looks great. The med kit idea makes it a lot like the actual game which is awesome. I starting making a Dead Space map but I got stuck and ran out of ideas. I have always wanted to play Dead Space in Halo. You should do one of the areas of Dead Space 2 . The mining place would be cool. I guess you could implement the map into the rock walls of Forge World. Thanks for the map!
