Hi, I am new here, I have read the rules and I hope I won't post this at the wrong forum. I have a question about this map i designed, ->Will this be possible to create in foundry? ->Would it be a good idea to stack some grenades and equipment in the teleport room? Here a background of the map with the legend and info: [img width=800 height=344]http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/2047/theundergroundresizexe5.png[/img] The legend: -> Everything that had a gray background is covered from the top, the middle is white background so it is open. *Blue dots: Spawn Points (at the spawns ^^) *Blue Walls: Shield Doors (around the whole map) *Green Dots: Teleports (at the spawns/Sniper Room) *Gray Dots: Fusion Coils (in the middle) *Gray Squares: Crates (in the middle) *Gray Stripes: Barracks (in the middle) Info: -> It is a map which needs a certain gametype called: Quick Shot CTF. Quick Shot CTF is a gamemode where you spawn with a shotgun which has unlimited bullets, the flag will return immediatly when it touches the ground. -> Items and Weapons on map: *Sniper Rifle x2 *Shotgun for every spawning dude *Sword x1 *Spike/Plasma Grenades? should there be any? *Equipment? Should there be any? *There are 2 spawn rooms on each side to reduce the spawnkilling. *Between the 2 spawn rooms we have the teleport room which leads to the (floating) sniper room, from there you can snipe enemies in the middle. *The Sniper Room is covered in fences so one can't jump out. *The crates are meant to use for cover for the sniper room, so is the circle of barracks in the middle. *In the circle you see a gray dot, it is a wire spool with a sword on it. *The small gray dots around the circle and in the corners are fusion coils, they are meant to damage hiding enemies that can't be sniped. *The shield doors are meant to slow down the game and give a better gameplay experience. *I made more than just 1 tunnel to give the flag carrier a better chance of escaping. Voilá, besides of answering my questions you can also ask me questions.
I like the layout of this map. As for Foundry... well, hell, anything can be made on Foundry! You should probably post this in the Forge Discussion forum, and then post your map here when your finished and have screenshots. *Grenades- definetly put some on here....but don't over do it *Equipment- Try one piece in the flag room of each base, maybe something different for each team? EX: a drainer in one and a regenerator in the other? Just some ideas, and welcome to Forge Hub!
okay, sorry bout the mistake i will repost it in the forge discussion forum. Thanx for the tips, i will add one deployable cover in the flag rooms, hehe lol now you can block a tunnel ^^ and i guess like 10 plasma grenades on each side in the teleporter room.
I think ten plasmas is good ifyou spread them out. You might also want to put starting grenades "off" in your gametype.
'Ello It sounds like a fun map, yes equipment helps, maybe a deployable cover at least, and a couple grenades, and what can't be made on Foundry? By the way, add some screenshots besides the map. Nicely done.
