Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man or Toby McGuire I'll leave out the new kid because most people agree he's the best fit. But yeah, if you vote Toby you're retarded.
Andrew Garfield was a ****boi Peter Parker. He played the Spider Man's character well with the banter but he disgraced the nerd that is Parker. It wasn't his fault entirely. I'd like to believe he wanted to play Peter correctly but the director/writer made him play the character all ****ed.
Why do you think he didn't play a good Peter? I thought he was nerdy enough without being cringey like Toby.
He wasn't a nerd though. He was some skateboarding tech savy kid. The closest thing to him being nerdy was him getting punked out by Flash. He was just too hipster to be a believable Parker. and lets not say he was good just because Toby was bad. We're lowering our standards at that point. I did enjoy the Amazing Spider Man movies, just didn't agree with some of the directions they took. I also enjoyed the original Spider Man trilogy (well not so much the 3rd one) I haven't seen Homecoming but I liked what I saw in Civil War and am glad that Marvel has jumped in to save the day.
If Spider Man is supposed to be a socially awkward "nerd" (whatever nerd means these days), then I think Toby communicated that better. Whether he was a better actor or fit for the part is up for debate. Personally though, I like how cheesy the Raimi films were, and that era wasn't cluttered with modern technology and hipster lingo.
Honest question, why did people hate on Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Spider-Man? The Toby series, those movies annoyed me a lot...
Andrew was the 2nd best Spidey, Toby was the 2nd best Peter. Tom Holland annihilates both of them as Peter AND Spidey
Obviously tom holland is the way to go, but I very much prefered andrew to toby. he had the banter down, he looked younger (still too old for a highschool kid). Toby makes me feel like he failed a ton and got stuck in highschool. the production quality of the first 3 were rough too. at 44 seconds in the spider man is fake and MJ's hair is flying the wrong direction. I also didnt like the organic web toby had. the webshooters are a big part of spiderman and them running out at the worst times is an issue he has to work through.
