The Soccer Arena Made by Explicit i iz It's kick-off at the soccer arena! Challenge all your friends and enemies here. This is where you show off your true talent so leave that intense, try-hard attitude at the battlefield. Sit back and enjoy laughing with everyone in the game. This arena has been home to many soccer champions such as Master Chief, Sargent Johnson, and the ODST Buck. After all, we have to start somewhere. The objects on map are: Gravity hammer x12 (Although you spawn with them) Sprint x4 (2 for each team) Golf Club x2 (Again, for each team) Health Pack x4 (Even though you don't need it) Spartan settings: Normal Speed Normal Gravity Invulnerable Spawn with Gravity Hammer The object of the game is simple, knock the ball into the opposing team's goal. You spawn in the locker rooms. Most likely, two people will automatically spawn into picking up sprint because it is located right behind the middle spawn. Take a shower if you wish, but the doors to the game will close in 45 seconds (this is so the ball doesn't go into the shield doors as you'll see in the pictures). Head toward the Health Pack side and go through the teleporter to the stadium. The receiver is located in a tube you must go through to get to the stadium (As you'll see in the pictures). Help a teammate out by jumping on their head to grab the Golf Club. Head out onto the field to play the game. Once again, you want to rush out onto the field to make sure you don't get stuck and so you get first kick. I would highly recommend the players who grabbed sprint to be offensive player and the player with the Golf Club (7 wood) be the goalie. No one wants you on the team? Uneven amount of players? No problem, go onto the Green team to be a spectator, announcer, cheerleader. Whatever you please. Just hope you don't fall on the field, no one likes the streaker that runs on the field at games. But without further a-do, I bring you The Soccer Arena. Please Watch This Video YouTube - The Soccer Stadium - A Halo Reach Forge Map by Explicit i iz Here you spawn in the locker room, the players more towards the left picked up sprint. The showers will clean you off after a hard-fought game. The team marches out for battle. What the map looks like from outside. The tube from the receiver, don't forget to look up and grab a Golf Club. An overall look of the map. The bleachers (Read the FAQ if you think balls will get stuck). The goals (Read the FAQ about the corner things). Red & Blue battle it out, Play Ball is written on the wall. The goalie is doing his duty and protecting the goal. Special thanks to: Danco616 for building most of the locker rooms. To SimplyJesus for helping with Ideas and some building. To TSS Greenwood, TSS Bepen, TSS Gamer, holyaxel, Hipp0Lips, Snypler, jppredetor20, dynoman616, and ajfjag94 for testing the map with me. FAQs Won't the ball get stuck up in the bleachers? There is a possibility, but when I tested this map, only 1 time out of the 3 games it went up. And even as it does go up, there are ramps for it to roll down and if there are spectators, they can push it in. There was no way of blocking that off without ruining the scenery. Why is this a Slayer Game Type and not a game type where the ball counts as point going in the goal? There actually is no true game type where you receive a point for putting an object into another. Why are the corners of the wall like that? When I played and tested this map, the ball was difficult to get out of the corners so I put angles so that it bounces out of corners when hit straight up. Why do doors spawn in the way of the shield doors after a little in the beginning? It is to ensure the ball does not roll through making you unable to retrieve it. Why do only certain people get the Sprint ability? Because it helps with keeping defense on their side just like in a normal game of soccer. Thank you for reading this entire post please tell me your feedback on the map and how much you liked it.
This actually looks like a really cool and well-put-together map. The only flaw that I can see is the one that Bungie made in not making a gametype where hitting an object into another counts as a point. Rather disappointing, that, but you did an awesome job. I particularly like the words in the wall (rather clever, that) and the symmetrical layout, as well as the stands and the whole map being set into grass. Having played soccer once upon a time myself, I give your map a 5/5 pre-play, and I'll edit this post after testing it a bit. Looks fun! And nice video; really helped describe the map, which is what vids should do here. Postgame: This was actually a lot of fun to just goof around on, though I'd suggest maybe making an objective-based gametype as well. All I could think about was how much I wish goals counted, but I could totally see Grifball working on this map rather easily and effectively. Just a suggestion. Again, great job, and this is definitely very original. And consider Grifball as an option! That, I would definitely play.
This map is very well made. It is extremely balanced when the sprint armor ability and 7-wood are taken into consideration. Having played this map as a tester, I think that this map is perfect for 5 vs. 5, although it is perfect for almost any amount of players. I give it a 5/5 for originality, 5/5 for architectural design, and 5/5 for entertainment. I cannot wait to see this map being played by people who I do not know, or by my friends who do not know the creator .
I have tested this map and helped out with it too and all i can say is there isn't ever a time where you couldn't enjoy playing this. If you haven't already tried it out, download it, get a couple of friends together, and get ready to play ball for a blast. :] A 6/5 for sure.
