    Map Title: The River

    Description:

    The River is a symmetrical map divided by a giant river that must be crossed to reach the other side of the map. Treacherous paths and open areas make games on this map frantic and intense. There are also a few tight quarters areas in the back of the map for fans of close-range combat. Be careful when crossing the river because the current is not always mild.

    The map is set up for all standard game variants, but recommended game types for this map are symmetrical objective games (capture the flag and assault) and team deathmatch. The map is mid-sized, so 4-12 players is the recommended party size.

    Looks empty, but i like the whole "river" just fill it in and interlock your boxes, i think that will help your map the most

    I agree with grizzly, and I don't think I ever would have thought the whole river thing

    Interlocking

    Other than that your map looks good

    Yeah, I actually made it before interlocking became standard. I'll definitely interlock for version 2. The lack of interlocking doesn't really hurt the gameplay at all on this map, but I'm sure it will improve the aesthetics. Thanks for the advice.

    You are a great forger with some good ideas. From looking at your two maps I can see that you have a lot of potential with your forging. Like I said before you should really check out the tutorials on Forge Hub to learn some techniques such as interlocking and geo-merging. With these used, I'm sure we will see some pretty awesome maps from you in the future.

    I really like this map you made, seems like the battles will vary a lot from the different areas. I will definitely give this a download.

    this looks ok
    I agree that you need to interlock more
    the whole river idea is pretty unique
    You should add more details or more things in general

    I remember playing on this. That was a while back... glad you finally posted it here at FH. And hey! I see I made the screen shots. Like I said, it was a while ago since I played this, but from what I remember, it played nicely. It's smooth despite the interlocking issue (or lack there of). Truely, you made nice use of the vertical dimension.
