Now my epic story is in Motion. Hideo did put the final word on the speculation at Microsoft's conference. The final nail in the coffin, or bullet in a gun I guess is more fitting. PS has nothing to compare! Who's going to buy me that ice cream? Back to being serious, chrst and I shouted back and forth "No motion!" but even I cannot help but be amazed, especially with what Lionhead is making. Absolutely fantastic, and the part with adding real elements into the gaming world (such as the paper) is beyond its time. Technology just took a HUGE leap forward. On the note of my excited for titles, very upset that we get no word on Mass Effect 2 or Assassin's Creed 2 yet. I know Mass Effect will have a showing thanks to Whisper, but when I don't know. But Alan Wake did make an appearance and we have a general release time. Light will be a major mechanic to this game (as exampled by the "creatures" poor tolerance with it) and the narration driven story is something very cool. At least it looks better implemented than it was in Velvet Assassin. Now let's hope it isn't a 10 - hour long single player experience. I am hoping for a absolute minimum of 12, though I'd like to see them shoot for 16. Also, Halo 3 ODST is still a very limited look, but it's an awesome new perspective of the Halo Universe. How will it play out? Is it mission based? Or does it have an open world air to it? Guess we will know tomorrow. However, Halo Reach has me interested. Is this actually Halo 4? As indicated by the trailer, it details the fight of multiple Spartans leading up to the destruction of Reach. For all we know, this could be an Xbox Live Aracade game. But what has me puzzled is the Multiplayer beta for those who get ODST. Crackdown and Halo 3 beta anyone? Hopefully more is revealed later on. Also, I keep forgetting about Splinter Cell Conviction. It just keeps disappearing, but now it is back with a huge makeover. Remember that footage seen 2 years ago (or at least it feels like that long)? Well, this is different in many aspects, but amazing none-the-less. In past Splinter Cell games, you could maybe have 3 options at best. Now, it is a mini sandbox of choices, and each looks wonderful and fun. Go all out or stay in the shadows? Let's just say that I'm sold. Forza 3 looks promising, and I am intrigued by its (what appears to be) entirely free airbrushing option. Looks like it goes beyond just slapping on some graphics. Crackdown 2 also looks much improved and is a welcome sequel. L4D 2 is awesome. Thought it was Dead Rising 2 until I heard the zombies. But, is it like Dead Rising in that anything is a weapon? The man did use a frying pan once. Who knows? Only time will tell, but if that teaser did tell us anything it's that daytime can be just as scary as night. God I am forgetting some Exclusives silly me, I guess I am too caught up in that 20 minute long and very awkward presentation of Beatles Rock Band. For a moment, I had to check the listings because I thought Microsoft was presenting at the moment, not Nintendo. Also, I would like to say: When that kid scanned in his skateboard and began to play, 1 thought rang in my mind "So much for your fancy new board Tony."
Microsoft didn't have room for everything. Microsoft announced that you can buy 360 games on the marketplace via Credit Card or, I'm assuming, Microsoft Points.
Lol, I thought the exact same thing about the board. I thought SC: Conviction looked great. The combat looks ridiculously brutal... you use the environment to destroy your enemies. The gore is pretty ridiculous in the game too. I think Alan Wake looks really cool, and the light mechanic is very cool. Also, ME2 will be presented today at 4:00 PDT at the EA press conference.
I actually liked the PS2 slimline. It was the 3rd PS2 I bought, and the only one that didn't break. They should have probably just made the PS3 the right shape in the first place and they wouldn't have to do this. It looks like a speedbump at the moment, so it can only get better. Can someone link me to a recording of it?
According, to the Adam, Morgan, and Kevin, it is not just one. I have been watching it. The motion looks looks cool. I absolutely love the Milo kid. Also, did you see ow nervous that girl Felicia was? She was the one that announced the Facebook and Twitter.
LEFT 4 DEAD 222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222. And the 2 new halo games. that is all im interested in.
I was dazzled by SC:Conviction and the MW2 actual gameplay. I just hope that's not the radar system online, too, or else all the guns would be ugly. Conviction is definitely going to be a christmas game, but MW2 and H3:ODST will definitely be release day gets.
forza 3 really looks awesome, now i gotta finish forza 2 by october :/ its one hella long game. the menu looks cool too
You're kidding, right? The presentation yes, sucked. But If that comment was geared towards the game as well, you are ill. The Beatles Rock Band has to be the most incredible thing the industry has done to date; taking the music that started it all and setting it out in today's world with the label: Rock Band.
I haven't watched the conference yet, but this would be enough if this was the only announcement. I am satisfied.
Anyone one know where I can download the Microsoft speech? My connection is too crap to stream. *sigh*.
