We all know as inhabitants of the earth, our responsibility is to reproduce, and pass on our genes, but we're trying to look deeper. Like why we are here to reproduce in the first place, and why should we keep reproducing. At least that's what I look at this as
The meaning of life can be found here because then life would be boring and un-pleasureable... wait a minute.. I have it! The meaning of life is to have a good time! PARTY!
Thank you for the two most useless, spammy, and generally retarded posts I have seen in the Debate section so far. Truly, your work will bring great things for future generations.
i searched for the meaning of life and found that the meaning of life is to find out the meaning of life
I have thought about this a lot. I have wondered what would have happened if we never existed. What if there was no life, no meaning, nothing? What if we never lived? Its very deep and truely has no answer. This brings up religion. This raises the thought of a higher being. Is there one? Are we his creation or merely a mistake of some sorts. Also, did he create us to serve a purpose or to live our lifes alone. If there is a higher being, it would have always existed. Otherwise there could never have been anything. There would always be nothing, in a sense. This destroys our sense of time entirely. I've also thought what if we are just dreams. Or perhaps a story being told, or a movie. We are set to play, and can not change anything. Nothing can be changed, we are preset. Our actions mean nothing. But to live life thinking this, well, you can't live life like that. It's depressing. So I believe that there is no 'fate' and that we will never truely understand the meaning of life. However, I believe that there is no set meaning to life, and that it is different for everyone. I personally live life to be happy, to live in the moment, to live for myself and my family and friends. In fact, I'll go as far as saying that in that understanding, there is no meaning to life. Unless of course, we serve a higher purpose. Death. Its so simple, we stop functioning. That's all there is there. Right? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe we go to heaven to live with a higher being. Or hell. Or perhaps get reincarnated. But what is the point of dying, and age, and all of it? Do we live to die? If so, then what is the point? I'm not sure, so I'll end there. It doesn't really answer your question. But I believe no one can. They can give you an answer that makes us all feel good, and that we can comprehend. But is it right? Most likely not.
I hate thinking about the meaning of life .. I think that it is impossible to figure it out .. I don't see how you can figure it out .. So i try and forget about it
The meaning of life is whatever you want it to be. Nothing more, nothing less. We all find some sort of purpose in life, the majority of us find it in raising a child.
the meaning of life is more so of a question then it is a answer. we ask are selfves questions everyday. why do i have this job? what's my purpse? why was i chosen for this? well it seems that we have even more truble discovering ourselves then we do the meaning of life. the meaning is more important then the question. the meaning of life is... oppertunity. every day life throws a new oppertunity at us. every second. what to where, what to eat, the simple things. but it can get much much more bigger. the oppertunity that your life can do something amezing. we all can. such as the oppertunity that gave president linkin the chance to write the emancipation proclamation. the oppertunity that gave life to the universe.( "Big bang") oppertunity is much more though. it is chance. it's hope. it's something in everyones life. so i hope you see that life is oppertunity. but there is more to the meaning of life then just oppertunity. and it is unknown. ~blue
The meaning of life is absolutely subjective. Is it only correct to live for true happiness or love, maybe it is right to live for some self-ordained sense of duty or honor, or on our lightest wishes and whims. In the end, from an objective standpoint, none of that matters. We live, we procreate, and then we die; that is biological purpose for which anything lives. However, we, unlike every other known species, have real intelligence: the ability to truly ponder existence. It is, therefore, ultimately each individuals' responsibility to decide their own respective value and purpose.
well said the meaning of life is not really a question or an answer, it simply is. the meaning of life can never be obtained, why am i here? who am i? what was i ment for? are purley ways for people to take an infinate idea, and form it to one unique question in which never can be answered
